iShowSpeed Hits 60 Million YouTube Subscribers, Falls to the Ground While Flying Using Balloons

Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. has another reached milestone by crossing 60 million subscribers on YouTube, but the streamer was involved in a fall while flying during a balloon stunt.

iShowSpeed recently concluded his FIFA World Cup 2026 tour and is currently participating in State Farm Gamerhood. The YouTuber has also revealed that he will be doing a marathon with Kai Ceant this month. In what marked a packed summer for Speed, he also celebrated reaching 60 million YouTube subscribers on July 31. However, unfortunately, iShowSpeed fell down while he was flying using giant balloons. Speed had announced in a YouTube short that he would be doing a balloon stunt, where he would add a balloon every time he reached 10,000 YouTube subscribers. The YouTuber was doing this stunt in anticipation of reaching 60 million subscribers, as he was very close. iShowSpeed’s World Cup livestreams helped him gain almost 5 million subscribers, leaving him just a little shy of 60 million. This is a remarkable thing, both for a single tour to help him gain so many subscribers, and also because he had only reached 50 million in late January 2026.

The balloon stunt started off casually, with balloons being added each time YouTube crossed 10,000 subs. iShowSpeed would have been lifted into the air after hitting his milestone, and he soon reached 60 million subscribers, but the celebration turned dramatic, as the balloons burst, causing the YouTuber to fall to the ground. There was blood visible on his forehead, but it wasn’t immediately clear whether iShowSpeed was seriously injured. Viewers pointed out that the fall may have been staged, as nobody rushed towards iShowSpeed.

The YouTuber soon shared an update on his Instagram Story, revealing that he was alright and the medic was taking care of him. Fans commended Speed for his forward-thinking in having both a medic and a stuntman on site to ensure safety.

What’s next for iShowSpeed

During the same livestream, iShowSpeed revealed or hinted at several things. Firstly, the YouTuber stated that he would do a skydiving stream once he gets his skydiving license. He said he may do the stream to celebrate hitting 100 million YouTube subscribers, claiming the milestone would come sooner than fans think. The YouTuber also hinted at an India IRL tour, as he said he “can’t wait for India. Indian gonna be lit.”

iShowSpeed is currently the second most-subscribed streamer on YouTube, behind only Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson. This is impressive, as MrBeast isn’t a normal streamer, and his content is on another level. Speed also gaining 10 million in roughly 6 months is a massively impressive timeframe. He may be wishful thinking about reaching 100 million subscribers soon, but his stats indicate it may well happen in the next year or two. Right now, fans are waiting for Speed to reunite with Kai Cenat and livestream their marathon — it is expected to be confirmed for August.
