It’s important to note that this doesn’t guarantee that the up-and-coming actress will get a shot at the award, but the studio is actively pursuing the nomination.
However, there is a potential hurdle, as horror performances have long been underrepresented at the Oscars. This isn’t an absolute claim, as Demi Moore received a Best Actress nomination at the 2025 Oscars. This highlights that it’s a possibility for Navarrette to also receive a Best Actress nomination at the 2027 Oscars, and Polymarket traders are also echoing the sentiment at the movies prediction market.
Polymarket traders think Inde Navarrette has a good chance of being nominated at the 2027 Oscars
Inde Navarrette isn’t leading the Polymarket prediction market, as Julianne Moore has an implied probability of 96% of being nominated for a Best Actress award at the 2027 Oscars. Despite this, Inde Navarrette is trailing behind at 77%. Olivia Wilde is at 73%, Sandra Hüller at 71%, and Renate Reinsve at 53%. The other contracts all have a lower than 50% implied chance.

Marvel is known to mostly approach actors and actresses that it thinks can perform well and long-term in the MCU. This is visible from Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and many others who have been a part of the MCU. Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans had left following the conclusion of their onscreen characters, but Marvel has called them back for Avengers: Doomsday. This highlights that Navarrette being selected as Rogue isn’t a small feat.
Navarrette already showcased her acting ability in Obsession, which increased her fanbase significantly. This also explains why Focus Features has decided to back the actress, as a nomination could be a big deal for both the actress and the movie. Despite this, fans will have to wait for a few months to find out whether she can seriously be considered for the award.
