Like other free-to-play games, Marvel Rivals has its fair share of cheaters and miscreants, and there’s a way for players to report them and hopefully get them banned from the popular new hero shooter.

Cheaters are an unfortunate reality in most competitive games online, and that applies even more to free-to-play games like Marvel Rivals. Many players will inevitably take advantage of the fact that they don’t have to purchase the game to use cheats and risk getting their accounts banned.

While players can’t recover the time or energy spent ny playing against these cheaters, they can report them to hopefully suspend or ban their accounts. Marvel Rivals gives players multiple ways to report cheaters and toxic players alike, ranging from reporting them in the post-match screen to doing so while a match is still live and ongoing.

How to report cheating players in Marvel Rivals

Players can report cheating players in Marvel Rivals by searching for the offender’s profile and clicking the report button.

There are two primary ways for players to report cheaters in this way while playing Marvel Rivals. The first is from the post-game summary screen, while the second is while the match is still active.

How to report a cheater in Marvel Rivals after a match

Players can report cheaters in Marvel Rivals directly after a game concludes, and that’s typically the most convenient way to do so. Every time a Marvel Rivals match ends, the game shows players a post-game defeat or victory screen. The screen is followed by a display of how every player in the game performed with full statistics and in-game awards, including those attributed to the potential cheater.

Alternatively, players can open the match summary screen from the main menu. Click on the profile icon in the top-right corner and navigate to the history tab. Look for and open the summary screen for the match with the cheater. This way, you can report a potential cheater from a past game even if you’ve already exited the post-game screens.

Reporting in Marvel Rivals post-game

To report the cheater in the post-match screen:

  1. Locate the cheater’s username
  2. Right-click or interact with the cheater’s name to open a pop-up menu
  3. Click on the report option
  4. Select the reason for reporting the player

It’s possible to report cheaters without encountering them in a match as long as the cheater’s username is known. From the main menu, select with the friend search bar on the right of the screen and search for the prospective cheater’s name. Open their profile, ensure it’s the right person, and press the report button.

How to report a cheater in Marvel Rivals during a match

To report a cheater in Marvel Rivals during the match, pause the game and click on settings. From here, ensure the match tab is opened with a screen showing every player in the live game. Identity the cheater and press the triangular warning button next to their name to bring up the additional report screen.

Reporting in Marvel Rivals during a match

Select the cheating option in the report screen before pressing next and then following the on-screen instructions. Players can report both teammates and enemy players, and it’s recommended to confirm the correct player’s profile is selected before reporting it to avoid false reports and to ensure you’re correctly flagging the offending player for review.
