How to play True Grit Redemption 2 — A slot epic by NoLimit City
NoLimit City’s True Grit Redemption 2 slot hits casinos on general release at the end of May and it is fair to say that fans of the original are ready to go all guns blazing into this western-themed sequel.
We were introduced to the dark, dusty and dynamic world of True Grit Redemption with the release of the original game a couple of years back. Now, on May 26, 2026, the sequel has moseyed into town and this slot packs a fearsome array of weaponry to appeal to fans of the more volatile slot gaming persuasion.
Once again, the second title in the series leans heavily on a gritty, cinematic style allied to some highly volatile gaming mechanics and gameplay that relies on the different features, often in conjunction with each other, to offer an enticing goal to play for through the stormy base game. This follows the recent highly successful Tombstone Begins slot release from the same developer.

The slot is played on six reels with a 2-3-4-4-3-2 set up initially, although this can be expanded to 4-4-4-4-4-4 and as the number of symbols expand, so do the number of ways to win, up to the maximum 4096 ways across the reels. For this reason, we expect that streamers such as Trainwreckstv to start broadcasting major wins on this game right away — he is renowned for enjoying highly volatile slots.
Taking its cue from the original, True Grit Redemption 2 continues the themes of the dangerous, wild-west and stories of revenge and redemption. The livery features dark reds, deep oranges and earthy brown tones, as well as cinematic cut-scenes and music that add a great deal of atmosphere to the gameplay.
Speaking of which, while the RTP is a respectable 96.07% as standard (though can be altered), the volatility is extremely high, when wins can appear few and far between and patience is required to trigger the bonus features and land those potentially sizable wins. Especially when features are triggered in conjunction with each other which can multiply the value of those wins a great deal further.
The True Grit Redemption 2 demo can be played at NoLimit City’s official site, provided you live in a country that allows demo gameplay of the games. This, using virtual funds, is an ideal way to get accustomed to the multiple gameplay elements.

True Grit Redemption 2 Game – Slot Symbols
There are two main types of standard slot symbols on the reels.
- Low Value – These are the royal symbols, ranging from the 9 through to the Ace.
- High Value – These are the True Grit Redemption characters.
The game also has a Global Multiplier, which can increase in value with players winning spins and when other bonuses are triggered in the game.
There are also some main feature symbols on the reels which includes:
- Redemption Girl – A Wild symbol which can combine any slot multipliers from the same reel and adds them to the Redemption Girl multiplier.
- xBomb – When landed on the reels, the xBomb symbol will explode and remove adjacent symbols, (apart from Wild symbols), triggering new symbols dropping down from above and these symbols can also destroy the boxes on the reels to increase the number of symbols available on each spin.
- xWild – An xWild symbol turns all the other standard symbols on that reel into a Wild, while keeping their multipliers.
- Bonus Symbol – Landing three, four or five of these on the reels will unleash Reckoning Spins (3 symbols), Vengeance Spins (4 symbols) and Redemption Spins (5 symbols), each of which offers an increasing number of free spins and additional other bonuses with the greater the number of bonus symbols landed on the reels.
- xSplit – When landed this symbol will split all the symbols on its row into two, doubling the multiplier on split symbols.
- xWays – This applies the global multiplier to itself and then adds an additional multiplier from 2x to 4x to that. The symbol then turns into a standard symbol, with multiple xWays symbols all displaying the same symbols. This feature is expanded upon with the Toxic xWays and Infections xWays symbols, which also offer increasingly valuable and flexible bonuses.
- Rat and Rat King – These symbols come with a multiplier and when four or more are landed on the reels, they are added to the Global Multiplier. Rat King symbols offer a 15x, 20x or 25x bonus, with Rat Symbols offering between 1x and 5x.
However, there is another symbol that appears in the Enhancer reel only.
- Hunter – The Hunter symbol adds a 50x multiplier when it lands in the Enhancer row or in a locked box.
However, it can test a cowboy’s patience to try and trigger these bonus features, so NoLimit Citty offer a number of ways to trigger bonuses using the Bonus Buy options outlined below. Just remember to only do so if it fits in your budget.
