How to play Stake Original Zoo and win up to 1,000x
Stake’s new Original game “Zoo” has players betting on cute animals, and for something that looks this silly, the pay scale is surprisingly worth your time.
The Stake Originals library is already stacked with high-paying options that also double as excellent pastimes. Dragon Tower, Blue Samurai, and Chicken are simple gambling games that are just as entertaining without a base deposit. However, the returns on these originals are too good to not give real-money mode a shot.
The latest addition of Zoo offers an RTP of 98% with a house edge of just 2%, and initial reviews are already overwhelmingly positive. Here’s how the game works.
Stake Original Zoo gameplay and features
The base idea of the game is simple: players must bet on the correct animals to appear in the middle of the screen. The straightforward gameplay makes it an ideal starter game for players looking to dip toes in gambling.
Stake Original Zoo starts with a circular track of 20 tiles featuring six different animals surrounding three empty slots in the center. Players are given a 10 second window to select three animals that they think would fill out the empty slots in the middle. The rarer the animal you pick, the bigger the reward. The options are:
| Animal | Appearances on Track | Max Payout |
|---|---|---|
| Lion | 1 | 1,000x |
| Cheetah | 1 | 1,000x |
| Elephant | 2 | 224x |
| Crocodile | 2 | 224x |
| Rhino | 4 | 14.5x |
| Penguin | 10 | 2.2x |
If your chosen animals match any of the three revealed in the center, you win based on that animal’s multiplier. The Lion and Cheetah are the rarest, each appearing only once, making them the highest risk, highest reward options with a max payout of 1,000x. The Elephant and Crocodile each appear twice, offering a solid middle ground between risk and reward. The Rhino appears 4 times, and the Penguin is the most common with 10 appearances on the track.
The game has simple visuals, and even simpler gameplay, which means it’s an excellent option for both veterans and new bettors. At 2% house edge, the chances of hitting 1,000x win aren’t far fetched, making this an enhanced RTP release by Stake.

- Head over to Zoo’s official page on Stake
- The game will start instantly so use the 10 seconds window to place your wager
- Use the repeat, undo, or clear buttons to place the next bet
Those who don’t want to monitor the game manually can go for Zoo’s auto mode. Here, you can set your total base bet per round, and number of bets you want to play. The mode also lets you bet on the animals of your choice. The simplicity of the title does not mean that it is being avoided by streamers; quite the opposite — Moles is another Originals game that has seen some major wins.
As a Stake-exclusive game, this is not available at other crypto casinos.
