Here's how to play the spooky Hand of Anubis slot by Hacksaw
The Hand of Anubis slot is perfect for those seeking a dark, thrilling slot game with some engaging mechanics that players can use to potentially win big.
When it comes to online slots, Greek mythology is definitely the most common theme. While this makes sense considering how many known IPs are associated with classical antiquity and its famous pantheon, some players may want to experience something new, and that’s where the Hand of Anubis slot comes in.
Themed around the Egyptian underworld and its own deities, this slot leans into a darker and more mysterious tone than many other modern slots available online. Whether they’re drawn to the ominous visuals or the game’s unique Soul Orbs system, here’s how players can play the Hand of Anubis slot.
Face the underworld with the Hand of Anubis slot
The Hand of Anubis slot is a darker take on the typical mythology slot theme, having players face judgment in front of the titular Egyptian god. Played on a 5×6 grid, this slot gives wins every time players form five or more matching symbols instead of through a payline.
The slot’s cascading wins feature also means that winning symbols disappear, making way for new symbols to drop in, potentially allowing players to chain together multiple wins in a single spin.

This slot has a 96.24% RTP, which is slightly better than what you’ll find in most similar games. Hand of Anubis is extremely volatile however, featuring maximum volatility. This usually means that while wins vary in size and frequency, a lucky hit can be truly substantial.
With a max win of 10,000x the initial betting amount, this slot can potentially deliver huge results. The volatility means that seeing such max win is unlikely, but certainly not impossible. It’s there to be found by the luckiest of players.
As for the visuals, the Hand of Anubis slot is straightforward but extremely memorable. The base game features a dark Egyptian-themed layout. The slot’s grid is inside a pyramid, with two figures representing Anubis standing on either side. Every bonus round changes the background significantly, adding more flair to this iconic slot.
All Hand of Anubis slot features and mechanics
The Hand of Anubis slot has layered features and mechanics, with the Soul Orbs system pairing perfectly with the two bonus games the slot has.
Soul Orbs are special wild symbols that increase the multipliers during winning cascades, potentially helping players get massive payouts. The potential for high payouts increases even more thanks to the multipliers stacking. There are two types of Soul Orbs in this slot, and they both affect multipliers differently.
- The multiplier on red Soul Orbs increases by 1x for each symbol in a cluster win.
- The multiplier on blue Soul Orbs increases by 1x for each winning cluster.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Hacksaw Gaming slot without some bonus games to keep things interesting. The Hand of Anubis slot has two bonus games available, and the one triggered depends on how many scatter symbols are rolled in the base game.

The Underworld bonus game requires three scatter symbols. Rewarding players with ten free spins, this bonus introduces green Soul Orbs and a multiplier modifier below every reel. Multipliers can easily build up thanks to the modifiers and winning clusters, rewarding players with increased multipliers for every winning symbol. Green symbols activate the multiplier for the reel it lands on, with the value being added to every reel’s multiplier modifier.
The Judgment bonus game requires four scatter symbols and gives players three refilling spins. Features from the base game are replaced by special block symbols with different variants. Multipliers above every reel are increased when winning combinations are made with these symbols.
This bonus game also has special ice blocks and crusher blocks, both of which can spawn multiplier blocks or multiplier modifier blocks. Multiplier, multiplier modifier, and crusher blocks reset spins to three when they spawn, potentially letting players continue stacking their wins.
While the Hand of Anubis slot doesn’t have any special feature buy option, players can spend additional money to instantly activate either of its bonus games. This eliminates some of the variance in finding those bonus opportunities, and the added expense also increases the final payout potential in exchange for the additional risk.
Ultimately, the Hand of Anubis slot is an extremely well-made game that those looking for something new should consider trying. Our BC.Game review shows the site to be one of the best platforms to play the most popular online slots, and Hand of Anubis is among the many games on offer there.
