How to get verified on Kick

Ever since verification came into play on Kick, upcoming streamers have been consistently curious as to how to go about getting verified. Getting one’s channel verified on Kick is an important element in establishing legitimacy on a stream, as it displays a creator’s commitment to streaming while also providing other potential benefits.

Content creators are flocking towards Kick for various reasons, and while just about anyone can create a channel and start streaming on the platform, there is a set path to growing a more reputable Kick channel. Streamers can become affiliates, partners, and ultimately get verified to open even more doors for monetization and brand credibility. Getting verified on Kick is relatively straightforward, but streamers need to be serious about their intentions in order to meet the requirements.

Here’s how streamers can get verified on Kick.

Can anyone be verified on Kick?

Kick verification is open to all content creators, but not everyone can actually get verified, as the platform has set requirements that streamers must meet in order to pass for verification.

The process of becoming verified on Kick requires a content creator to first become an affiliate, and after that, it’s just a matter of streaming diligently. To be eligible to get verified on Kick, creators must stream for 15 hours in a 30-day period, and have had a minimum of 50 live concurrent viewers in the past 50 days leading up to verification.

Engagement is an important element of any streaming platform, and Kick requires that creators also have 100 unique chatters in the past 30 days and a minimum of 10 active channel subscriptions in those past 30 days. These terms have been pretty consistent since the feature came into play, but Kick does amend its requirements from time to time.

There are some other security requirements that may be involved, but those shouldn’t be too hard to meet for most credible content creators. Streamers must have a confirmed phone number and have 2FA enabled on their accounts. Usernames must not have been changed in the past 30 days, and the account must have at least two on-channel VODs available for review from the past seven days.

Kick also requires that the channel must not have made any violations of the platform’s terms of service in the past 30 days leading up to verification. This isn’t too difficult, as Kick is known for its relatively lax rules, but it still must be considered as violators may find themselves on the outs.

Getting verified on Kick is a notable accomplishment for any sreamer, as it demonstrates a streamer’s commitment to streaming, their ability to engage with a community, and a set amount of established streaming success. The check-mark icon that accompanies Kick verification also enhances a streamer’s brand image, as potential sponsors can identify which streamers are more trustworthy. That can play a role in finding more revenue opportunities, both on the platform and in general.

Kick also potentially offers monetary and discoverability advantages to its verified streamers, though this changes as the platform’s programs for its partners continue to evolve.
