Any Stardew Valley player wanting to upgrade their damage-dealing potential will want to know how to get infinity weapons and which ones are the best.
Stardew Valley has much for players to discover through growing their farms and upgrading their equipment. From new fishing gear to decorations, the game’s gameplay loop primarily revolves around completing a handful of activities each day to further one’s progression. One of those activities is engaging in combat against various enemies.
While Stardew Valley has multiple weapons players can use to eliminate enemies, infinity weapons are the strongest. From the Infinity Blade to the Infinity Gavel, here’s how players can get infinity weapons in Stardew Valley.
Players can forge infinity weapons in Stardew Valley by combining a Galaxy weapon with three Galaxy Souls at the Volcano Forge.
There are three core steps players must follow to get infinity weapons in Stardew Valley. These steps include unlocking Galaxy weapons, collecting Galaxy Souls, and finally forging the Infinity weapons using Cinder Shards.
The first step to acquiring infinity weapons in Stardew Valley is getting Galaxy weapons. Players can do this by getting a Prismatic Shard from a mystic stone, iridium node, Skull Cavern treasure room, or enemy drop. You’ll then need to take that shard to the three pillars in the top right of the Celico Desert map.
Make the Prismatic Shard the active inventory item so the player character is holding it above their head. Finally, walk to the area in the center of the three pillars to trigger a short cutscene after which the Prismatic Shard will transform into the Galaxy Sword.
With the Galaxy Sword acquired, players can purchase all three Galaxy weapons from the Adventurer’s Guild shop. The Galaxy Sword costs 50,000 gold, the Galaxy Dagger costs 35,000 gold, and the Galaxy Hammer has the steepest price tag of 75,000 gold.
With the Galaxy weapons unlocked, the next step is gathering Galaxy Souls. These souls are rare, though players can purchase them using Qi Gems. Before doing anything else, find 100 Golden Walnuts on Ginger Island to access Mr. Qi’s Walnut Room west of the same island.
Players can then complete Mr. Qi’s challenges in the Walnut Room to acquire Qi Gems. Qi Gems are traded in the shop on the right side of the room, and 40 of these gems can get players one Galaxy Soul. Collecting 120 Qi Gems for three Galaxy Souls is the most reliable way to forge Infinity weapons.
Players can also gather Galaxy Souls from the monsters in the Dangerous version of the mines and the Skull Cavern. Those who defeat 50 monsters from these dungeons can buy Galaxy Souls from the Island Trader for ten radioactive bars. However, this purchase is only possible on the last day of each season.
Take any Galaxy weapon and the three Galaxy Souls to the Volcano Forge. The forging process requires 60 Cinder Shards, a fairly common drop in the Volcano Dungeon. Merge the three Galaxy Souls into any Galaxy weapon one at a time to transform it into an Infinity weapon.
The infinity weapon players get from this process depends on the weapon type of the Galaxy weapon. The Galaxy Sword turns into the Infinity Blade, the Galaxy Daggar turns into the Infinity Dagger, and the Galaxy Hammer turns into the Infinity Gavel.
While each Infinity weapon in Stardew Valley has its benefits, the Infinity Blade is the best infinity weapon as it’s likely the most useful.
The dagger is fast, the hammer is strong, and the sword is an all-around good weapon. The dagger’s low damage eliminates it from the race for the best Infinity weapon in Stardew Valley. The player’s playing style then determines which weapon to choose between the Infinity Blade and Infinity Gavel. The blade gets the nod for most players for being more versatile in its uses.
The blade is excellent for single combat as it has better DPS than the hammer. While it’s also easier to use in combat, the Infinity Blade’s only downside is its lackluster ability. But this is made up for by its versatility.
Getting the Infinity Blade also unlocks the Infinite Power achievement, knocking out two birds with one stone. Not only do players get the strongest sword in Stardew Valley, they also get an achievement for their trouble.
