While creating an account on the streaming platform Kick is fairly straightforward, deleting it requires users to utilize something of a workaround by finding a specific option.
Kick is one of the top streaming platforms today, directly rivaling Twitch and YouTube in streaming. But some users may eventually feel like they’re better off not having a Kick account. Alternatively, some may want to delete their Kick account because they don’t want to receive further communications through the platform, or simply because they want to start fresh.
Whatever the reason, it can be done. But the bad news is that Kick doesn’t have a native delete button, at least on the browser version. Fortunately, there’s still a viable workaround that should get the job done, even if it’ll likely require some waiting to go through.
Kick’s mobile application has an account delete option under the legal tab in the app’s settings.
While Kick’s browser version doesn’t have a native account deletion option, the mobile app does. Users can follow the steps below to quickly delete their account using the mobile application:
Deleting the Kick account this way will instantly sign the user out of their account, and attempting to log in again will prove unsuccessful. Those who usually use Kick’s browser version are better off installing the mobile application just to make deleting the Kick account easier.
Browser users can have their Kick account deleted by emailing Kick support and asking them to delete it, as there’s no direct browser option to do so.
Even though the streaming platform doesn’t have a native deletion button on the browser version, users have had their accounts deleted by directly contacting the platform’s support team. This method is proven to work, even if it takes longer than on competing platforms like Twitch.
Users can follow the steps below to delete their account.
Since the process requires some back-and-forth, the account deletion process can potentially take up to a few weeks. Not getting a reply to the initial email after a week at least may be grounds for a follow-up email, though Kick’s support team usually responds fairly quickly to outreach from the platform’s users.
