In a competitive game like League of Legends, players may want to analyze their progress by checking in on their match history. We’ll explain how to do so quickly and easily.

League of Legends is over a decade old, but the MOBA’s popularity has no signs of wavering. Loyal players flock to the game and join together in teams of five to take down enemy sides. With the number of playable champions in the game creeping towards 200, there is no shortage of variety to make sure all players are catered to.

The competitive nature of the game makes all players want to better their performances so they can become the best. This is why many players want to check their match history to better understand what happened in their previous games and why. There are currently two main methods players can use to check their LoL match history.

How to check your League of Legends match history

Players can use the in-game League of Legends client or a third-party stats tracking website to readily check their recent match history.

Using the Riot Games client is the fastest way for players to check their LoL match history, though there is a downside. The game client only shows a player’s last 20 matches, and that just isn’t ideal for those who want to analyze their playing history more extensively. This is why it might be more beneficial for players to use a third-party match tracker instead. We’ll detail both methods below.

How to check LoL match history using the Riot Games client

The easiest way and most readily available method for most players to check their League of Legends match history is by using the Riot Games client.

Using the in-game client to check your LoL match history shouldn’t be too difficult for players. This method allows players to view and download their complete match replays and watch them through the game client. They can pause and rewind those replays at will, and watch the playback from another player’s perspective. Players can also view other fine details such as player stats, objectives taken, and more.

League of Legends players can follow these steps to check their match history using the in-game client.

How to check your full LoL match history

If players want to view more than the 20 most recent matches played, they can use a third-party stats tracking website to check their full LoL match history.

Serious players who have put much work into the game will not be satisfied by the League of Legends client’s 20-match limit when checking their history. For them, it makes more sense to use a tracker that gives them their complete match history.

This can be done using a LoL stat tracker website like the fan-favorite League of Graphs. The website doesn’t let players view replays of their matches, but it does show more details that many players might find beneficial.

League of Legends players can follow these steps to check their match history using the League of Graphs website:

Now players can check the data such as match history based on game modes, surrender rate, and more. While this method requires players to put in more effort, it’s certainly worth it for those who want to check their full LoL match history.
