This year’s LCK season has been filled with ups and downs. In particular, the top three teams have constantly struggled against each other, but Gen.G managed to get ahead of the fray in the end. Now, HLE and T1 will face off against each other to potentially dethrone Gen.G in the grand final, and it’ll likely be closer than most would assume.

HLE vs T1 match analysis
Despite T1’s individual strengths, the team has struggled to keep up with the ever-changing meta of League of Legends. While the team’s bottom lane is consistently carrying the team, there’s only so much that Peyz and Keria can do alone, even if they win the lane. T1 has managed to come this far on its ADC’s back, but a strong team such as HLE could be too much for the World champions to handle.
This isn’t to say that the rest of T1 is bad. Faker, who is one of the best LoL players of all-time, still has unquestionable talent, and Oner is a reliable jungler. But the team’s carry potential is entirely in the bottom lane. In particular, Doran frequently struggles to contest against strong laners, and even when he wins the lane, his presence in the match is questionable.

By contrast, HLE has been fairly consistent. The team has an all-around strong roster that can compete with just about any professional team out there, ensuring that there are no gaps in any role. Zeus is one of the strongest top laners, Kanavi’s objective acquisition is undeniable, and Zeka has been a pillar of strength for the team. Gumayusi may struggle to link up with Delight as his support, but his positioning is nothing short of excellent.
HLE has come out on top the last three times the team faced T1, and the same will likely happen in this match. While T1 could secure first blood because of its more aggressive bottom lane, things will likely start crumbling for the team in the mid-to-late game. Still, T1’s teamwork is immaculate, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the team could take the match to the distance. Because of this, taking the over on 4.5 maps could be the way to go here.

HLE vs T1 betting picks & predictions
Hanwha Life Esports and T1 are undeniably two of the strongest professional LoL teams. But their recent performances have been drastically different. HLE has been consistent, constantly staying ahead of T1 in this LCK season. However, T1’s erratic and unpredictable performance could result in the team losing here and failing to qualify for the grand final. Fortunately for T1 fans, the team will still appear at Worlds this year.
☑️ My Picks
- T1 to get first blood @ 1.9: T1’s bottom lane is fairly strong. While the team doesn’t usually secure first blood much, there’s a good chance that it’ll want to get more aggressive against HLE, which could help it get some early kills.
- Total maps to be over 4.5 @ 2.51: The match went the distance the last time these two teams faced off, and the same is likely to happen here.
HLE vs T1 prediction: HLE to win 3-2 @ 1.59 odds at GG.BET.
