UPDATE: Ethan Klein drops iDubbbz lawsuit after apology
Ethan “h3h3Productions” Klein has dropped legal action against iDubbbz after receiving a video apology from the YouTuber.
Previously h3h3Productions had began defamation proceedings following serious allegations made against him.
The situation had escalated significantly, with Ethan pursuing legal action over comments iDubbbz made during one of his streams. Here’s what happened with the lawsuit.
Ethan Klein sued iDubbbz for serious allegations
Klein stated that he was pursuing legal action against iDubbbz because the latter allegedly repeated and amplified claims suggesting that Ethan was unsafe around his own children.
Everything stems from a statement made by
Steven “Destiny” Bonne
during one of his streams, where he made the inflammatory statement against Ethan. According to Klein, Destiny’s statement was clearly a provocative insult or joke, especially within the original context.

A month later, Ian “iDubbbz” Jomha displayed Destiny’s statement on his stream while discussing Ethan Klein. The statement lingered for a while, and iDubbbz didn’t give any context behind it.
This was enough for Ethan to send iDubbbz a defamation lawsuit filed in Calgary, Canada, which iDubbbz confirmed on June 9, 2026.
iDubbbz responded
on X with a simple post
saying “I am being sued,” and stated that he plans on fighting against the lawsuit. However, everything’s in the hands of the court and their attorneys. He did apologize to Ethan and his family for putting the comment out there, but the lawsuit was seemingly still going ahead.

iDubbbz stated that he’s worried about what the lawsuit meant for the commentary community, and that reflects in how multiple creators responded.
Charles “MoistCr1TiKaL” White Jr largely questioned the broader implications this lawsuit may have for the commentary community. While he didn’t exactly defend the accusations or even talk about them much, he did display concern that this situation was setting a concerning precedent.
Hasan Piker also criticized the lawsuit during a livestream. He apparently framed the lawsuit as another example of
Ethan using litigation against critics. Similar to MoistCr1TiKaL, he’s on the side that online drama should stay online. However, he has made his stance siding with iDubbbz much clearer.

Elsewhere, Asmongold came out in support of Ethan Klein. He repeatedly emphasized the severity of the allegations against Klein and how they may affect his family’s image. He said that the allegations cross the line of this just being another YouTube beef.
Then, on 15 June,
iDubbbz made a video apology, saying he wanted to “apologise to Ethan Klein, and his family” for his previous comments.
This was followed by the comment above from h3h3Productions which stated that he had instructed his attorneys to drop the lawsuit.
