Here’s how to get and use Channel Points on Kick

Kick Predictions

Channel Points on Kick are rocketing up in prominence as the streaming platform and some of its top streamers push their use, but what exactly are they, and how can users get them?

Kick has been around for several years now and the platform is continuously growing, even with other popular platforms around to compete with. This is in part due to Kick’s lucrative revenue split for streamers, as well as the new features the platform continues to add. Kick already plays host to features like the ability to host other streamers, but the platform was lacking certain options that it’s lately been pursuing.

Multistreaming was one of those, and now Kick allows streamers to broadcast their content across multiple platforms. As long as streamers make sure to only stream content that Kick allows, they can continue to make good money. Kick has now introduced another new feature through which viewers can earn rewards just for watching their favorite streamers.

How to get Kick Channel Points

Getting Kick Channel Points is straightforward and viewers can easily start earning them just by watching streams on the platform.

Kick states that the platform will introduce new ways for viewers to earn Kick Channel Points as the feature is further developed. Right now the only way to earn the points is by watching Kick streams. The points viewers earn are tied to the streamers whose broadcasts they watch. This is why it’s important to get points from the streamers whose rewards they most want.

Kick Channel Points

If a viewer earns points in a certain streamer’s stream, they won’t be able to redeem them in another streamer’s Channel Points tab. Viewers can check their Channel Points below the chat input field in the stream’s chat window.

It’s also important that viewers use the official Kick app, or they may miss out on earning points. Kick states that watching streams through screen mirroring or picture-in-picture mode won’t count toward getting points. If a viewer wants to watch streams on a TV then they must use the Kick TV app in order to accrue Channel Points.

How to use Kick Channel Points

Using Kick Channel Points is as easy as navigating to a streamer’s Channel Points tab and selecting the appropriate reward based on the accumulated points that are available.

Viewers can redeem their Kick Channel Points by clicking the Channel Points icon located under the chat input field. Clicking this icon will bring up the rewards menu and viewers can then select an available reward based on their accumulated points.

Clicking a reward also brings up a description of the reward if the streamer has one set. The description may also include any instructions that viewers will need to follow to successfully redeem their points and collect the indicated reward.

Once a reward has been redeemed a notification will be shown in the chat panel highlighting the reward and the points redemption. After the reward has been redeemed, it’ll be up to the streamer to fulfill the reward as is necessary. If a streamer rejects the redemption, then the viewer will be refunded any Kick Channel Points that were redeemed.

The number of points required for a reward and the exact rewards that are made available depend on the streamer and their discretion. Some streamers may reward viewers with a song request, while others may opt for something even grander. Popular Kick streamer Adin Ross is reportedly paying viewers’ college and mortgage as part of his Kick Channel Points rewards program, though it’s fair to assume that this will require quite a few points in order to pursue.
