HasanAbi versus Ethan Klein drama continues with more claims

HasanAbi Ethan Klein podcast

Political streamer “HasanAbi” Piker and podcast host Ethan “H3H3” Klein have been taking hits at each other over the past year, and the drama has continued in a recent episode of the H3 Podcast.

On February 5, Klein took a further jab at HasanAbi, this time with a claim that he owes his career entirely to Steven “Destiny” Bonnell. Essentially, HasanAbi and Destiny have been beefing with each other even longer than the fight between HasanAbi and Klein — and H3 believes that this controversy is what has kept the streamer relevant. By contrast, Klein claims that he built his career himself, “painstakingly,” brick by brick. And this is just one point that Klein plans to make in a new video he’s uploading soon dedicated to his dislike of HasanAbi.

In the podcast episode, Klein also touched upon other points he’s made against HasanAbi in the past, including accusing him of misogyny and acting inappropriately with his fans.

HasanAbi and Ethan “H3H3” Klein feud timeline

Shockingly enough, HasanAbi and Klein were once co-hosts of a podcast called Leftovers. But their differences in opinion became too much around October 2023. At this point, Klein said he was going to take a break from the podcast due to a conflict over the Gaza-Israel debate. Klein said he didn’t want to talk about it anymore, especially as he felt Hasan wasn’t properly moderating the chat.

“I’m f—ing shocked that you don’t care what people in your chat are saying… Don’t you moderate?” Klein said at the time. “How can you be surprised when your Discord is literally full of f—ing freaks.”

In response, HasanAbi said that he does tell his community to “shut up” about certain topics but that Klein is an “adult” that should understand how his own words could be perceived.

The drama over the Israel-Gaza conflict continued in 2024, when Klein called Hasan out for his pro-Palestine talks with Frogan, another streamer who used to moderate for HasanAbi. On Instagram, Klein posted a story that said Frogan was “making [Hasan’s] entire community look bad” but Hasan was allowing it.

During an episode of the H3 Podcast in October 2024, Klein continued to call out Hasan as he felt that nobody else was.

“There’s not a single dissenting voice with his f—ing straight-up radical, anti-American, antisemitic, pro-China, pro-Russia, pro-terrorism takes. This is fringe, psychotic s— that is not normal,” Klein said.

In the same episode, Klein claimed that HasanAbi had an “approved list” of Jewish people that he wanted Klein to speak to for clarity on HasanAbi’s views. In Klein’s eyes, HasanAbi and other like-minded  people wouldn’t act or speak the same way towards most other marginalized groups.

Hasan didn’t seem terribly deterred by Klein and his wife’s ongoing criticism of his words. Throughout 2024, he continued to share strong support of Palestine, even saying that he wasn’t against an apparent sexual assault that took place during an October 7 attack., only offering that, “the Palestinian resistance is not perfect.”

The topic switched to the Los Angeles wildfires devastating communities in Southern California in January 2025. Klein made a joke at the time that Hasan was probably hoping the fires would burn his computer, likely a reference to Klein’s accusations against HasanAbi of soliciting inappropriate sexual content from his fans.

Now, Klein is apparently planning to release a second video dedicated to Hasan going more in-depth about his allegations against him. The streaming community is torn, with many feeling that Klein is “obsessing” over HasanAbi and milking the drama for views. But others have shared similar issues with Hasan’s rhetoric over the past year, especially because he has so much seeming influence over his fans. This includes Congressman Ritchie Torres, who told Twitch that HasanAbi was “dangerous” and spreading antisemitism.
