Explaining the Hasan, Dylan Burns, Hutch doxxing drama

Controversial steamer Hasan “Hasanabi” Piker is involved in drama once again for apparently doxxing multiple people in a livestream, including Dylan Burns, Hutch, and others. Here’s what you need to know.
Hasan Piker is one of Twitch’s more popular streamers, though he is frequently in the news for butting heads with other content creators or for sharing blunt takes on sensitive topics. The streamer has also been banned from Twitch for his actions in the past. But even Twitch’s moderation against him, and sometimes the lack of it, has sparked controversy, many are now claiming Hasan should be permanently removed from the platform.
Hasan is trying to avoid getting penalized on Twitch for his latest actions, but viewers and other content creators have continued to speak out against the streamer as he once again goes viral after allegedly sharing private information of multiple people in a live broadcast.
Who did Hasan dox?
Hasanabi reacted to a video of another streamer in a broadcast that contained private information, including the city, state, and zip codes of other political commentators, and Dylan Burns was among those featured.
YouTuber BadEmpanada shared information about members of Steven “Destiny” Bonnell II’s community and other political streamers. The YouTuber alleged the individuals were donating to Progressive Victory, a Political Action Committee. The post contained various personal information of the content creators, including their cities, states, and zip codes. Hasan featured the post in a broadcast and seemingly highlighted the information to thousands of live viewers.

The Twitch streamer began to receive backlash almost instantly, with another of the people doxxed, Shaun “Hutch” Hutchinson, publicly calling Hasan out on X for sharing his information. Hutch tagged Twitch and demanded that Hasan be banned for breaking the platform’s rules. The streamer made clear that Hasan partially doxxed multiple content creators while levying “wild accusations.”
Reactions have been largely divided on the matter, with some questioning whether Hasan sharing publicly available information should be considered doxxing. Those against the streamer are alleging that Hasan broke Twitch’s TOS, which doesn’t allow sharing personal and sensitive information that can be used to cause harm. Twitter’s TOS even restricts sharing information that is already public record, but the platform has yet to take any action against Hasan.
Hasan responds to claims of doxxing political commentators
Twitch streamer Hasanabi refuted allegations that of his doxxing anyone and instead claimed that people have “decided to make new things up.”
In a stream, members Hasan’s chat questioned him about claims that he doxxed multiple people, including Dylan Burns. Hasan, in turn, questioned who Dylan Burns was and disputed why he would search for someone’s address and then stream it.
Dylan Burns responded to Hasan, arguing that the Twitch streamer has previously mentioned him by name, despite his now feigning unfamiliarity. Streamer Hutch also reacted to Hasan’s defense and said the streamer must think “his audience is stupid.” Hutch argued, similar to Dylan Burns, that Hasan had mentioned the political streamer by name, bringing into question why he would now act as though he’s unfamiliar with him.
