Is a Third GTA 6 Trailer Imminent? Trade on Kalshi With the WINGGPREMAR Promo Code

GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, and after multiple delays that now seems a firm date from Rockstar. However, despite the launch of the official cover art and pre-orders opening, we are still waiting for the third trailer.

The first two gave major storyline clues and showed the beautiful world of Leonida, but with just over three months until release, fans are expecting the latest trailer to land very soon. The popular prediction market Kalshi app has markets for traders to speculate on exactly this will be.

Kalshi markets for GTA 6 third trailer

Rockstar doesn’t need to do much marketing for GTA 6. Ahead of a potential third trailer, it has been pre-ordered a ton. There aren’t official estimates (unofficial numbers reach up to 50 million), but according to DFC Intelligence, up to 12.5 million units were sold in the first hour of launch.

This is all with little gameplay shown at all; the first two trailers focused on the main characters, Jason and Lucia. The third trailer is likely to build on this further and increase the ever-building hype. There have even been heavy rumours on social media that the third GTA 6 trailer is going to drop sometime this week.

Kalshi traders seem to agree that we are close to getting out latest look at Rockstar’s flagship title. The “Grand Theft Auto VI: New trailer release date” market has just two remaining valid markets: before September and Before October. Technically, both would be correct if the trailer does drop this week, as it would be in August. There isn’t a more specific market for “by August 8,” which would be the end of this week.

Currently, traders have extreme confidence that the third trailer will drop by October, with 91% currently backing that outcome. This is compared to 75% that think it will land by September. The thing with Rockstar is that trailers are commonly dropped with no warning, but regardless, prediction markets are clearly expecting movement in the coming days or weeks.

What to expect in new trailer

In the first two trailers, Rockstar Games provided a well-rounded look at what the story is going to be for GTA 6, as well as showing off the characters and settings. That leaves one major thing for the third trailer: pure gameplay. Even a game of this dimension cannot be accurately marketed without showing off the gameplay. So, with this likely being the final trailer, gameplay will need to be included.

The gameplay won’t differ too much from the classic GTA formula, but it has been 13 years since GTA V came out. Technology, gameplay standards, and interests have all risen since then. Gamers will be eager to see just how this franchise has evolved in the lengthy development period as, despite some infamous leaks, specific details have been kept under wraps until now.

What history says

For a better look at Rockstar’s tendencies, we can explore their most recent big game’s marketing, Red Dead Redemption 2. The marketing for that game spanned two years ahead of its 2018 release.  Because of some delays, GTA 6 has already passed that timeline, but there are other similarities in how the two games have been revealed.

First, Red Dead Redemption 2 was given a reveal trailer roughly two years before release. For GTA 6, the reveal trailer will be a little under three years. Then, a second trailer was dropped almost a year later for RDR2, while the second GTA 6 trailer took 18 months to be released.

A little over a year passed between the second and third Red Dead 2 trailers. If the GTA 6 third trailer rumor is true, then it will follow that same timeline. Red Dead Redemption 2 got two dedicated gameplay videos almost three months before launch and two months after that, before a final launch trailer a week ahead of the game’s launch.

We are not yet at that stage of GTA 6’s marketing, and with the November release date just about three months away, Rockstar is running out of time to replicate their Red Dead Redemption 2 strategy.
