Everything we know about GTA 6 pre-orders
Looking for GTA 6 pre-orders? You’re certainly not the only one. Plenty of gamers are anxious for the launch of the game. Pre-ordering helps remove some of the stress of having to get the game on launch day when stores and digital retailers will be overwhelmed by the demand.
Where can you get them? When? Here’s everything you need to know.
GTA 6 pre-orders aren’t live yet

For now, there aren’t any active GTA 6 pre-orders. While this is set to be the biggest game of the year, there are a few reasons for this. First, games generally don’t go up for sale too far ahead of launch.
Second, this is a game that’s featured several delays. It was announced long ago with release dates that have long since passed.
While Rockstar is resolute that the November 19 date will stick, there’s obviously
precedent that it could still be delayed. And having pre-orders for delayed games is a nightmare for everyone involved.
Third, and this is mostly speculative, but waiting will only build anticipation. The longer people have to wait for the game, the more jumpy they’ll get, and the quicker they’ll place those pre-orders, especially if the bonuses are good.
Where?
Once the pre-orders do go live, there will be tons of places you can secure a copy. These primarily work for digital copies of the game, but sometimes, you can place physical pre-orders and get the copies mailed or pick them up at a GameStop.
The following will likely have pre-orders:
- Xbox Store
- PlayStation Store
- Nintendo eShop (if the game does indeed land on Switch 2)
- Target
- GameStop
- Walmart
- Best Buy

Greek retail store, Public, briefly accidentally put the pre-order live, which suggests that they will be available pretty soon.
For now, though, we’ll just have to wait until the above, as well as any surprise spots that pop up, have it.
Steam will likely not be one, though. This is because, for now, GTA 6 is not coming to PC. It is probably going to eventually land there, but Rockstar is prioritizing the console launch initially.
Additionally,
the good news
is that GTA 6 pre-orders for digital copies will not run out. There is no limit on codes for the game, so you will be able to purchase and play it from the moment GTA 6 goes live on the launch date.
