Excitement around GTA 6’s pre-orders is at an all-time high, causing some players to celebrate the game’s pre-launch and others to voice concern about some of Rockstar’s decisions.

It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most anticipated games of all time. Despite the delay, the game’s hype is still at an all-time high, and it seems to have only surged even more thanks to the announced pre-orders.

From the prices to additional screenshots, the pre-order launch came with a slew of new information. While some fans are excited to get their hands on Rockstar’s next mainline game, others are concerned about a handful of details.

How much do GTA 6’s editions cost?

The standard edition of GTA 6 will cost $79.99, while the ultimate edition will set players back $99.99.

Those who pre-order the game will get the Vintage Vice City Pack. This pack includes:

The digital pre-order also comes with a free month of GTA+ included. This subscription gives access to multiple Rockstar Games titles, as well as special GTA Online benefits.

It’s important to note that pre-orders are available for physical and digital versions. The physical version only includes a digital code, which means that it won’t come with a disc. Multiple fans have spoken out against this decision, as previous Grand Theft Auto games had proper physical editions, complete with discs, maps, and other physical items to make the purchase more worthwhile.

According to the official PlayStation website, the game will launch as a single-player experience at launch. The website also states that GTA 6 will play best on the PS5, though there aren’t any mentions of PS5 Pro features.

This suggests that GTA Online may not be available at launch, though the same happened with Red Dead Redemption 2.

What’s included in GTA 6’s ultimate edition?

GTA 6’s ultimate edition comes with a slew of additional content, including premium vehicles and weapons.

According to the official GTA 6 website, the ultimate edition’s bonuses will be given gradually. This means that new items will be uncovered every time the player completes a chapter, ensuring this version’s benefits are felt throughout the single-player mode.

GTA 6’s ultimate edition has the following in-game benefits:

Unlike most other games, GTA 6 gives players access to a bunch of exclusive items, weapons, and in-game businesses. The goal is clearly to ensure that the additional $20 for the ultimate edition is worthwhile, potentially helping its chances of winning the title of Game of the Year.
