More GTA 6 Leaks Just Landed — Here's What They Reveal
With GTA 6 still two months away, fans have spent the last few years predicting what Rockstar Games’ latest release will include and which revolutionary new features will be shown. The game has suffered from a few notable leaks since the title was confirmed as being in production in 2023, but just days ahead of the Netflix special, more clips and videos have just surfaced online — here is what we learned.
Newest GTA 6 leaks
On 18 August, multiple clips, purported to be from an early build version of Grand Theft Auto 6, appeared on social media. Though these are not confirmed as legit at this stage, many have been taken down, fuelling speculation that they do, indeed, show what players can expect from the upcoming release.
First, Rockstar has seemingly upped the wanted system to six stars; this is a return to form after GTA 5 dropped to five stars.
There is also expected to be an honor system like Red Dead Redemption 2. This way, players can determine some of what happens to their character and affect the mission choices. Additionally, police will be able to recognize your face, clothes, and cars, so changing them will lower your wanted level.
Speaking of cars, they will reportedly require fuel and maintenance, so there is an extra layer of gameplay now as well as the
expected new radio songs. Crashing will deplete the player’s health. NPCs can exit their vehicles and road rage against you. Cars will also have storage and loadout spaces in the trunk, much like guns were stored on horses in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Other notes
There are a few other things to note:
- Melee attacks will reportedly require stamina
- There will be two separate currencies, one for your person and another in the safehouse
- There is a focus bar when Jason shoots the basketball
- A much more complex physics system has been implemented for objects
Based on these leaks, it appears that GTA 6 will be taking a bigger page out of Red Dead Redemption 2’s book than GTA 5’s, which is not a surprise given how well received the Western was in 2018.
GTA 6 will be out in November, but many of these leaks will likely be proven true or false at the
Netflix extended look. These are a lot of gameplay mechanics, which should be shown off eventually, and the leaked map — which appears to show five counties — may also be confirmed. With hype around the game never higher, traders are also active on
GTA 6 prediction markets
right now.
