Global Esports are coming off huge momentum after winning VCT Pacific Stage 2, where they took down top regional teams including T1 and Nongshim RedForce. But though they are the current Kings of Pacific, we have doubts on how they’ll perform at the international stage – especially here in VCT Champions 2026, which is the biggest tournament of the year.

The Indian-based team tends to perform exceptionally well against regional competition, but look like a completely different team when thrust into international events. They finished 9th – 10th at VCT Masters London 2026, only winning one series against FULL SENSE – another Pacific team. Then, Global Esports went on to go winless at the Esports World Cup to go out in last place. This means Global Esports have only won one series at an international event in 2026, and it’s against another Pacific team.

On the other side, we have Team Vitality, who are equipped with some of the most experienced players in the game. The likes of Derke and Chronicle were among the best Valorant players who have already won multiple international events. Jamppi and PROFEK have been around the scene for a while, too.

Yes, Vitality have not looked great all year, but they’ve generally performed better than Global Esports at international tournaments.  Vitality finished top four at VCT Masters London and top eight at the Esports World Cup, showing they can stand tall against international competition.
