Genshin Impact welcomes iyd first Swirl DPS in Yumemizuki Mizuki, and with a proper build, she’s more than capable of competing with the best damage dealers in the game.
Yumemizuki Mizuki is the latest character in Genshin Impact, coming from the Electro Nation of Inazuma. Much like Baizhu, Mizuki offers a well-rounded kit that makes her the game’s first on-field Swirl DPS, as well as a driver, buffer, and healer.

Players looking to try out Yumemizuki Mizuki can pull for her in the first phase of version 5.4. Even if they don’t succeed in getting her now, they won’t have to wait long as she’s confirmed to be joining the permanent banner, likely in patch 5.5. With that in mind, here are the best artifacts, weapons, and teams for Mizuki in Genshin Impact.
Yumemizuki Mizuki is a five-star unit that can fill multiple roles in Genshin Impact simultaneously. She’s an Elemental Mastery-scaling Swirl-based DPS, a healer and damage buffer.
Mizuki is one of those characters with a straightforward mechanic that doesn’t rely on flawless combos to deal top-tier damage. Her elemental skill lets her float around, dealing Anemo damage and triggering Swirl reactions at set intervals. While she can control her positioning, Mizuki can’t perform normal attacks, which rules out some off-field sub-DPS options like Xingqiu for her team. While she’s in this state, Mizuki also boosts the Swirl damage for the entire party, which means she can also include another anemo unit in the team.
On the flip side, Mizuki’s elemental burst delivers a single instance of damage, pulls enemies in, and summons Mini Baku, which then releases Yumemi Style Special Snack, granting two effects. If the active character’s HP is above 70%, it deals Anemo damage. If their HP is lower, it provides healing.
Since Mizuki is an Anemo Swirl DPS, the best artifact set for her is undoubtedly the Viridescent Venerer. Yumemizuki Mizuki’s damage and healing are heavily reliant on elemental mastery, so it’s best to prioritize this stat when building her. Crit stats can be largely ignored, as Swirl damage is influenced mainly by her character level and elemental mastery.
These are the best main stats priorities for each artifact piece:
Viridescent Venerer has been a standard artifact build for Anemo characters since the game’s inception, and this won’t change for Mizuki. In fact, Viridescent Venerer fits perfectly with her kit. VV not only increases her damage output through its two-piece set effect, it also gives some nice damage bumps to her Swirl damage. Additionally, all damage from other Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo members will be boosted thanks to the resistance shred.
The best weapons for a good Mizuki build in Genshin Impact are Sunny Morning Sleep-in, A Thousand Floating Dreams, Sacrificial Fragments, Favonius Codex and Hakushin Ring. Here’s what to know about each:
Sunny Morning Sleep-in gives Mizuki a hefty stack of elemental mastery upon triggering Swirl, hitting opponents with her elemental skill and elemental burst. Despite it being Mizuki’s signature weapon, this catalyst isn’t really necessary for her, as there are other catalysts that work just as well if not better.
This catalyst is a great weapon that can increase the team’s damage output. Depending on the team composition, Mizuki can receive either elemental mastery, elemental damage bonus, or even both, giving her personal damage a boost. The rest of the party members also receive 40 elemental mastery.
Energy recharge allows Mizuki to consistently cast her burst in every rotation, making Favonius Codex one of her favorite catalysts. Using Favonius Codex also means she can serve as a battery, especially for units with high energy demands. Note that FC requires critical hits, which means she might still need to look for crit stats.
Sacrificial Fragments is viable as a stat stick for Mizuki build. It provides a nice boost to her elemental mastery and allows her to use her elemental skill twice, which can help lower her energy recharge requirements.
Hakushin Ring comfortably fits well in many Mizuki team compositions with an Electro unit. It offers energy recharge and a modest damage boost to all units involved in any Electro-related reactions. This is a recommended weapon when using Taser and Aggravate teams.
Mizuki’s best teams revolve around Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo, as she can Swirl these elements. She works well with teammates who can apply and inflict damage without entering the field. Mizuki’s personal damage is a bit underwhelming, so off-field sub-DPS that can deal good damage bring great value.
This is one of Mizuki’s premium teams offering sustained damage, teamwide buffs, and decent survivability. Yae Miko and Ororon are two of the best candidates for this particular electro-charged team as they can deal damage and apply electro aura off-field at intervals without needing any sort of normal attack from Mizuki. Ororon can also make use of the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City artifact set for a whopping 40% elemental damage boost. Furina on the other hand is the best hydro off-field DPS that can also make the team stronger with her fanfare buffs.
Although Dendro cannot be Swirled by Anemo, players can still pair Mizuki with Dendro characters like Nahida, along with other Electro units, to form an Aggravate team. An Aggravate team requires at least one Electro and one Dendro character. With Mizuki and the Quicken reaction present, the team can deal massive Electro damage.
Enter Yae Miko and Fischl, two excellent Electro off-field sub-DPS. Mizuki can enhance their damage by Swirling Electro and applying the Viridescent Venerer buff. Nahida can then serve as the sole Dendro unit. The Sumeru Archon offers the best Dendro application in the game, enabling the team to consistently maintain the Quicken and Aggravate reactions.
