Despite Gen.G’s fairly shaky start to the season, the team has recently been going strong. The team may have lost against G2 Esports at First Stand, but the team has seemingly bounced back to make a statement and prove that the LCK still reigns supreme in the professional League of Legends scene.

Chovy’s carry potential in the mid lane is extremely high, especially when paired with the veteran Ruler in the bottom lane. Canyon has been much more active as Gen.G’s jungler compared to KT’s Cuzz, which could help the team secure more jungle objectives and expect more ganks.

PerfecT is a very strong top laner, but Gen.G’s Kiin excels in drawn-out best-of-five matches. Much of KT’s momentum will have to come from the middle and bottom lanes. Bdd has been impressive, but he may fall short against a seasoned Chovy. Fortunately for KT, Aiming has been extremely strong recently, and the confidence that comes with his penta kill against Dplus could help him secure an early kill. This could make it a good idea to side with KT to secure first blood.

Regardless of how last year’s Worlds matchup went, KT hasn’t been looking too good. The team barely won against Dplus KIA in the second round, and Gen.G is clearly the stronger team. When considering this, there’s a strong chance that Gen.G could comfortably win this match without giving a single game. This suggests that taking the under on 3.5 games is the way to go, which makes sense, considering the high potential return.
