After every top professional Korean League of Legends team has poured sweat and time, this year’s LCK split is finally about to conclude. The grand final match will be between the powerhouse team Gen.G and the challenging Hanwha Life Esports, with the match determining this year’s strongest LCK team.

Gen.G vs HLE match overview

Betting tip: Both teams are in top form, which could mean a close match decided by a fifth game.

Our Gen.G vs HLE pick: Total maps to be over 4.5 @ 2.42 odds at GG.BET.

Gen.G vs HLE match analysis

There’s no debate that Gen.G has been the most consistent team in this LCK season. The team has practically remained uncontested throughout the season, with Chovy being an unstoppable force in the middle lane. The player has already won this season’s MVP award, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he leads Gen.G to victory in the grand final as well.

Fortunately for him, he isn’t alone. Canyon is this season’s most reliable jungler, while Ruler doesn’t have anything more to prove as an excellent ADC. One of the deciding factors could be how the top lane plays out, since Zeus and Kiin are fairly close in terms of skill in the top lane. The upper bracket final saw HLE go with some questionable picks, but remedying that could help the team put up a good fight.

Speaking of a good fight, Gumayusi and Zeka are probably HLE’s best chances of winning. Zeka is good, but the best he can do is likely match Chovy to stop him from scaling. On the other hand, Gumayusi is an excellent ADC who could very much carry HLE to the win. The problem with HLE is that Delight is somewhat of an inconsistent support player, especially compared to the ever-present Duro.

HLE’s lower bracket final match saw HLE being extremely aggressive, and the team will likely do the same in this match. This means that siding with HLE to secure first blood could be a good idea. As for the ultimate winner, Gen.G has just been too consistent not to side with, which also explains why the team is the favorite going into the match. Still, looking at how individually powerful HLE is, taking the over on 4.5 maps being played could potentially lead to some positive results.

Gen.G vs HLE betting picks & predictions

Both teams have already qualified for Worlds, which means that the stakes aren’t too high this time around. Still, securing the LCK trophy would be an excellent confidence boost for the winning team, and looking at Gen.G, there’s a good chance that it’ll be the team walking away with the trophy.

☑️ My Picks

  • HLE to get first blood @ 2.28: HLE is the more initially aggressive team, hence why it has secured first blood more times than Gen.G in this split.
  • Total maps to be over 4.5 @ 2.42: Despite how the last match between the two teams went, it wouldn’t be surprising if this grand final goes to a fifth game.

Our Gen.G vs HLE prediction: Gen.G to get a close 3-2 win @ 1.44 odds at GG.BET.
