Gen.G and KT Rolster are set for a rematch in the 2026 LCK Cup group battle stage after Gen.G’s surprising loss to KT at last year’s World Championship, but do the odds suggest a different result this time around?

Gen.G had a dominant 2025, running through the LCK and winning two international tournaments back-to-back between the Mid-Season Invitational and the Esports World Cup. But the team’s Worlds dream was shattered by KT Rolster in the semifinals of the year’s biggest pro League event.

This is the first time the two teams will meet on the big stage since then, raising the question of whether history might repeat itself.

Gen.G vs KT Rolster match overview

Betting tip: Looking at Gen.G’s recent domestic performance, there’s a strong chance that the team will beat KT without losing any maps.

Our KT Rolster vs DNS pick: Total maps to be under 2.5 @ 1.35.

Gen.G vs KT Rolster match analysis

Despite the team’s unexpected elimination from Worlds last year, Gen.G is still arguably the strongest team at the LCK and across the world, primarily because the team didn’t change its dominating roster at all. All five players have ample experience playing alongside each other, which results in solid communication, chemistry, and teamwork.

By contrast, KT Rolster recruited a brand-new ADC. While Aiming is a solid player, his lack of experience playing alongside the rest of KT, especially his new support Ghost, was clear in a recent match against DNS.

Bdd is an excellent player who can compete against the world’s best mid-laners, but the rest of KT isn’t as reliable. On the other side, Gen.G’s Ruler is one of the most consistent ADCs in the LCK, especially since he plays aggressive champions like Ezreal and Corki.

This aggressiveness could help Gen.G get an early first blood and secure the extra gold, potentially making this one of the more attractive picks to side with when considering the available odds.

Considering how both teams performed in their first LCK matches of 2026, there’s a strong chance that Gen.G will win against KT without losing a single game. This would potentially make taking the under on 2.5 maps a good idea, especially when paired with picks for Gen.G taking the first baron because of the team’s better vision game and coordination.

Gen.G vs KT Rolster betting picks & predictions

Despite what happened the last time the two teams faced off at Worlds, KT hasn’t shown the consistency required to regularly perform at such a high level that Gen.G has, increasing the chances of Gen.G winning this time around against KT and getting an early advantage in the LCK Cup competition.
