The IEM Dallas playoffs will kick off with an interesting match to bet on as Team Falcons take on GamerLegion.
Team Falcons made a strong case for itself as the second-best team in Counter-Strike behind Team Vitality. A major component of that was wins over Team Spirit in BLAST Rivals Spring, and MOUZ in IEM Melbourne. MOUZ said “not so fast” to this in IEM Dallas however, taking a decisive win against Falcons that included a 13-4 victory on Dust 2, Falcons’ best map.
So what happened to Falcons in that map, and can they still be favored against GamerLegion? Here’s a full betting breakdown of this IEM Dallas match.
WINNER TO SEMI-FINAL! MOUZ vs Falcons – HIGHLIGHTS – IEM Dallas 2025 | CS2
Team Falcons and GamerLegion are set to play in a quarterfinals match in the IEM Dallas playoffs. This is a best-of-three match in a single-elimination bracket. The winner advances to the finals to face Team Vitality while the loser gets a $12,500 consolation prize.
The discourse surrounding Team Falcons has centered around Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov in recent weeks, and IEM Dallas has shown that’s for good reason. The newly added Russian player has made some downright absurd individual plays in Dallas. While he didn’t quite carry the team past Heroic and NRG, he did much more than anyone else on the team.
When the team came up against its biggest rivals of 2025, MOUZ, the team struggled. m0NESY shined when Falcons had the edge over their opponent, but when MOUZ had the advantage, nobody was able to step up. This suggests that GamerLegion will need to keep Falcons on their back foot for a sustained period of time in order to take this upset win.
Team Falcons went 2-1 in the IEM Dallas group stage, which was preceded by a second-place finish in BLAST Rivals Spring.
Reports of yet another Team Falcons roster shakeup are swirling but for now, the team’s lineup stands as follows:
Since adding m0NESY, Falcons have gone 8-2 on Dust 2 and 3-0 on Ancient. The team is closer to 50-50 on other maps, albeit with a 1-3 start on Inferno. The team continues to instantly ban Anubis.
GamerLegion shockingly bombed out of PGL Astana with a 0-3 group stage record, but has rebounded with a successful run through IEM Dallas’ group stage:
Team GamerLegion shook up its roster in early 2025:
Worth noting is that sl3nd is unable to attend IEM Dallas, with Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand joining the team as a substitute.
GamerLegion has been sniffing around the tier-one scene in 2025 thanks to its strength on Inferno, where it’s 13-6 this year. Offsetting that strength are some serious struggles on Nuke, where the team is 7-12. GamerLegion isn’t particularly strong on any other maps, though it also
GamerLegion has played against Falcons’ 2025 roster three times, with Falcons winning the two most recent matches. The last time they played was in IEM Melbourne’s playoffs, which Falcons won via lopsided 13-3 and 13-4 map scores.
WINNER TO PLAYOFFS! GamerLegion vs G2 – HIGHLIGHTS – IEM Dallas 2025 | CS2
Team Falcons is a big betting favorite against GamerLegion in their IEM Dallas playoffs match. The moneylines are 1.12 against 6.1, showing that betting sites haven’t had their faith in Falcons shaken by their loss to MOUZ.
Team Falcons should be able to get a decisive win over GamerLegion in their IEM Dallas match. GamerLegion deserves a lot of credit for rebounding off a bad showing in PGL Astana, but they’re still out of their depth here.
