The entire EMEA region has placed its hopes on BBL, but G2 are looking to make the argument that the Americas might be the strongest region in the world.

G2 had their momentum halted by Nongshim RedForce in the upper bracket, where they lost a nail-biting series, dropping the ball on the third map which ended in overtime. Despite the setback, G2 still look in good form. The North American squad undoubtedly remains as a title contender as long as they can mentally reset and come into this series with a fresh mindset.

BBL survived an elimination match against FURIA, where they were able to pick up their first series win at the event. However, things don’t get any easier. After taking down an Americas squad, they now face another one that is arguably much stronger.

The team’s key player, Lar0k, stepped up in that series, posting a strong 1.21 rating. However, the entire BBL team will need to level up if they want to contend with a team like G2, as the best esports betting sites label the North American squad as the favorites.

Before coming to a conclusion on which team will win, we’ll first have to take a look at the veto. BBL have shown that Bind has been their perma-ban. Meanwhile, G2 have been hovering between Bind and Pearl as their first bans.

With BBL likely to remove Bind, this pretty much helps G2 out, allowing them to freely ban Pearl, which also happens to be one of BBL’s go-to map picks. This already gives G2 a comfortable veto advantage heading into the series.
