Two European giants of Counter-Strike are facing off in the ESL Pro League Season 21 playoffs, and itās an interesting one for bettors.
There werenāt really any surprises in the ESL Pro League Season 21 group stage. For the most part, teams that were expected to advance in the tournament did. MOUZ and G2 Esports were most certainly among those expected to advance forward.
Both squads are commonly ranked among the gameās best, and now they face off with their tournament lives on the line. Who will come out on top?
MOUZ and G2 Esports will face off on March 13, 2025 in the playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 21. The teams advanced out of the group stage with a 3-1 and 3-2 record, respectively. This is a single-elimination bracket, so the loser goes home and the winner heads to the semifinals.
MOUZ is looking strong so far in 2025. While an early exit from IEM Katowice 2025 mightāve left a sour taste in the teamās mouth, winning PGL Cluj-Napoca fixed that. The team also looked strong in the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 21, going 3-1. Hereās the teamās roster:
MOUZās favorite map is Mirage, but it hasnāt been particularly successful there of late. Instead, the teamās best maps have been Dust 2 and Nuke.

G2 has looked generally solid in 2025, but the pure results havenāt been great. The team finished top-12 in IEM Katowice and went 1-1 in BLAST Bounty Spring. Reaching the EPL playoffs is a good thing, but the team is definitely looking to do better than top-eight. The team punched its ticket to the playoffs with a win over GamerLegion.
Here is G2 Esportsā roster at ESL Pro League Season 21:
In 2025, G2 has been very good on Dust 2 and Inferno. However, it has struggled mightily on Ancient.
MOUZ and G2 have played five times over the last year, with MOUZ winning three of those matches. They havenāt played in some time, though, as their last showdown was in August 2024 at IEM Cologne. Both teams have undergone changes since then.
MOUZ is a 1.69 favorite against G2 Esports, who is 2.15 underdog. This a bit surprising when looking at rankings, but makes sense when looking at MOUZās recent form.
MOUZ should be favored over G2 Esports, but this match is a tough one to call. One could argue that this is closer to a coinflip than the lines would suggest. Regardless, MOUZ has had the stronger performances of late.
