G2 Esports complete comeback against Karmine Corp to win LEC Spring 2026

After a fairly smooth split, G2 Esports emerged victorious in the 2026 LEC Spring split grand final by making a comeback against Karmine Corp.
The 2026 LEC Spring split has finally concluded. With spots at MSI and the Esports World Cup on the line, every professional European team gave it their all to get as far as they could. While most teams fell quickly, Karmine Corp and G2 Esports managed to make it to the grand final of the playoffs.
That grand final has just concluded, and G2 Esports has emerged as the victor. While the win is impressive enough, what’s arguably more impressive is how the team won.
G2 Esports defeat KC to secure victory at 2026 LEC Spring
League of Legends betting sites already had G2 Esports as the clear favorites going into the match. The team had gone undefeated in the playoffs and had already taken down Karmine Corp once in the upper bracket semifinals. However, the team did stumble slightly against Movistar KOI in the upper bracket final, making some believe that KC had a chance to turn things around.
The first game saw almost all of G2’s players get outplayed. Trundle had four kills, while Caliste had a four-kill lead over Hans Sama as Ashe. Despite Caps and SkewMond clearly trying their best as Ryze and Naafiri, respectively, Karmine Corp got a fairly comfortable victory without losing any inhibitors and maintaining an impressive gold lead.
G2 managed to come back in the second game with a clean sweep. This was largely thanks to Skewmond, who ended the game with a 6-0-3 K/D/A. With him, Caps, and Hans Sama having serious leads against their lane opponents, the game ended in less than 23 minutes, not even letting the fourth dragon spawn.

The third game was where things went downhill for G2. Taking 35 minutes, the game saw all of the team’s players get demolished. In particular, kyeahoo had his first definitive victory against Caps in the middle lane, while Yike’s jungling left G2 in shambles. Karmine Corp comfortably secured the soul and won the game.
KC only needed one more game at this point. Fortunately for G2, this is exactly where the team decided to step up.
Skewmond absolutely demolished the opposition in the fourth game as Pantheon. His ganks and general objective acquisition were incredible, giving his team all three dragons and even two barons. KC’s two Voidgrubs weren’t enough to stop them from losing the game.
Somehow, the fifth game was even more of a stomp. While Hans Sama struggled to get his feet off the ground, Skewmond decimated the enemy team as Nasus. He quickly secured the stacks he needed to snowball into the carry his champ could be, and ended the game with a 12-0-3 K/D/A. BrokenBlade also finally picked up his game here, comfortably having a gold lead of almost four thousand against Canna.
While G2 has started clowning on Karmine Corp on social media, this match was clearly closer than many expected. As G2 lifts this LEC split’s trophy, both teams are already getting ready for the Mid-Season Invitational, which is slated to kick off at the end of the month.
