FURIA vs Vitality at the IEM Krakow 2026 finals: Preview, picks

Team Vitality runs into its Achilles’ heel once again, facing off with FURIA in the IEM Krakow 2026 Grand Final. Can it produce a different result this time? Here’s what our IEM Krakow betting preview suggests.

After a brief gap following BLAST Bounty and the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, these two rivals find themselves across the bracket once again, and this time with a trophy on the line. It’s been a while since two of the world’s top VRS teams last crossed paths, largely due to a dip in FURIA’s form, but that balance now appears restored.
Still, plenty has changed since FURIA last met Vitality, which makes this Grand Final a tricky one to read. Our CS2 betting analysis helps break down where the real value may lie as Furia battles Vitality at IEM Krakow 2026.
Vitality vs FURIA match preview
- Game: Counter-Strike 2
- Tournament: IEM Krakow 2026
- Stage: Semi final
- Format: Best-of-three
Betting tip: FURIA has shown signs of life lately, but even then, it may struggle against a confident Vitality riding a win streak at IEM Krakow 2026. When Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut current form is factored in, with an average rating of 1.5 at the event, the case for a FURIA win becomes even thinner.
Our Vitality vs FURIA pick: Total maps to be over 3.5 at 1.32 odds.
Vitality vs FURIA match analysis
The last time Vitality faced FURIA, it didn’t end well. As the world’s top-ranked team at the time, it was initially surprising for fans to watch Vitality struggle against FURIA at IEM Chengdu 2025, but that surprise faded when FURIA repeated the feat at BLAST Rivals Fall. Lucky for Vitality, NAVI took care of FURIA at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, clearing the way for Vitality to lift that trophy.
Fast forward to 2026, and FURIA and Vitality will meet once again with bettors heavily favoring the French side. That may seem odd at first given that FURIA has rediscovered some of its old form after a quiet showing at BLAST Bounty, but the read here makes sense. FURIA’s recent spark is unlikely to unsettle a Vitality that has remained unbeaten throughout Krakow.

Vitality may not have won every event in 2026, but the French side has shown consistent form even in defeat. That hasn’t been the case for FURIA, who exited BLAST Bounty early against a lesser opponent. That suggests a gap in consistency that could matter in a Grand Final setting.
When it comes to key players, ZywOo’s IEM Krakow 2026 run so far has been for the books, posting ratings above 1.6 in two of Vitality’s four wins and averaging 1.5 overall. That’s bad news for FURIA, who’s currently fully relying on Danil “molodoy” Golubenko and Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato. Vitality, by contrast, is getting output across the board, with Shahar “flameZ” Shushan and Robin “ropz” Kool consistently backing up a red-hot ZywOo.
If FURIA can replicate the level it showed against Aurora and The MongolZ, Vitality could be tested early. Still, in a best-of-five series, that pressure is unlikely to turn into a match loss, as the longer format gives Dan “apEX” Madesclaire time to respond with a clear game plan.
For FURIA to realistically push the series, the veto likely needs to steer toward Inferno, a map Vitality has largely avoided at IEM Krakow 2026, playing it just once. Besides that, Vitality’s map pool looks well spread, with impressive results on nearly every map, with Train as the lone outlier. That said, Train isn’t a reliable option for FURIA either.
With no clear map trap available, the series may ultimately come down to individual performance rather than a decisive veto edge. With that considered, Vitality’s case looks much heavier, making FURIA a risky pick for this match-up.

FURIA vs Vitality picks and predictions
A quick look at recent form points to Vitality as the stronger side heading into the Grand Final, but that doesn’t guarantee a clean sweep. FURIA’s recent uptick is enough to suggest it can take at least one map, and possibly more if the veto breaks its way. For that to happen, KSCERATO will need to replicate the impact he had against Aurora early, with at least two other FURIA players contributing consistently alongside him.
With several variables still working against FURIA, Vitality shapes up as the safer pick to control the series and come out on top.
