Fortnite Hot Bat Summer: Release time, skins, and more

The Fortnite Hot Bat Summer is upon us. Every year, there is an update for the summer that brings in beach settings, swimsuit-wearing characters, and more. This year, it’s got a DC tilt, with some of the most iconic superheroes and villains taking a load off to cool down in the heat. Here’s what you need to know about it.

First and foremost, you need to know what characters are arriving in this drop. Batman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman are dropping in the v41.20 Item Shop update. These characters are all already in the game, but this time, they’re dressed for the heat.

They are primarily wearing bikinis, while Batman is completely out of costume except for his mask. There are no other cosmetics save for two: Ace the Bat-Dog is a sidekick that can be bought for 1,200 V-Bucks. The Beach Buggy Batmobile glider is available for a whopping 2,500 V-Bucks.

Each of the skins is available for 1,500 V-Bucks. As is typical of this sort of drop, a bundle is likely to be available and save you money on all four skins and the other two cosmetics. That is the full extent of this crossover.

Release time

The Fortnite Hot Bat Summer has not started just yet. Typically, skins drop in the Item Shop when it resets at 8 pm ET. However, this is not a typical drop. It will be available as soon as the update goes live, which is 7 am ET on July 16.

Once your game is updated, whether that’s on PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, iOS, PC, or another console, you can head over to the Item Shop to purchase one or all of these incredible new skins.

Furthermore, there is a Batman Sprite being added in this update. This is not a cosmetic, though. It’s like theburntpeanut sprite, and it will provide an in-game boost if you can find it on the island.
