Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 leaks reveal possible name and theme
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 is nearly here. In early June, Season 2, the Showdown season,
will come to an end. On June 5, Season 3 drops, which puts it less than two weeks away. Sadly, that means there are only two weeks left to claim current season rewards, but it also means the leaks are going to start flowing in.
They always do when a new season nears. Every update brings forth new information about what’s to come, and this one is no different. Thanks to dataminers, we’ve just discovered the name and potentially the theme of the new season.
Name and theme for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 leaks early
Every Fortnite season has a name that ties into its theme. Chapter 7 Season 2 is named Showdown, and that fits thematically with the clash between the Ice King and The Foundation. The upcoming live event will probably be a literal showdown between the two.

Similarly, Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 is rumored to be named ‘Runners’. According to leaker HYPEX, other localized translations include:
- Fugitives
- Runaways
- Frenzied Looting
- Couriers
- On the Grind
- Guardians
Fortunately, this helps us understand the forthcoming theme a little better. This suggests a dystopian theme. Players will end up being runners or couriers who are frenzied and battling over loot. It’s unclear how the gameplay will reflect this theme, but it could be that chests and floor loot become harder to come by.
It’s also unclear how the final live event this season is going to roll into that theme, but the clash between the Seven and the Ice King could very well destroy the island, bringing forth a dystopia where resources are incredibly limited.
For now, that information is speculative. We will have to wait for factual information directly from Epic Games to confirm with the new season looks like.
