Breaking: Esports and Crypto Prediction Market Forkast.gg to Shut Down

Forkast.gg, an innovative prediction market platform focused on esports and crypto, has announced it will shut down on November 9. The website will remain accessible until then, but all predictions scheduled to resolve after that date will be cancelled.
Forkast.gg closes down on November 9
Forkast.gg has put a banner up on their website to indicate that the site will shut down in four weeks. The prediction market website will remain in use until then. However, any markets set to conclude after the shutdown will be refunded.
This includes any prediction regarding the outcome of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. With the grand finals taking place on November 14, the biggest markets such as the outright winner or the winning region cannot proceed. The shutdown’s timing is indeed surprising as the biggest esports event of the year is just about to start, and Forkast.gg is well-versed in LoL.
Key dates
- October 15: End of automated agent trading
- November 9: Platform shutdown, final withdrawals due

As the screenshot above shows, visitors to the Forkast site are greeted with a green banner that encourages users to withdraw their account balance before November 9.
The end of a promising esports prediction market platform
In their farewell message on Discord, Forkast admins reported that the platform recorded:
- Over $100 million in trading volume
- 1.6 million trades
- Over 10,000 registered traders
Forkast has been one of the platforms providing good options for esports titles, with good trading volumes and prediction markets for Worlds and many other major events. No reason has yet been given for the upcoming closure of the platform.
What alternatives are there to Forkast?
While Forkast had their own niche in crypto and esports, there are multiple other trustworthy prediction markets available, with Polymarket and Kalshi two of the most notable. Both brands offer a wide array of event-based markets and operate CFTC-regulated exchanges in the US. Polymarket is available to US traders through Polymarket US, while its separate international platform is also offered in multiple supported jurisdictions. Always confirm availability before signing up.
Riot Games has also reportedly been in talks with Polymarket and Kalshi. The company could aim to partner with one or both platforms as sponsors, as esports struggles to return profitable numbers on its own. On top of the fact that these two markets have been growing steadily, this would further ensure their longevity in esports.
