Fnatic is set to be sold within weeks, football clubs reportedly in talks
British esports organization Fnatic reportedly been looking to sell since the end of 2025. Now, the company could reach a deal within a few weeks, per a report. The deal could be anywhere between a minority investment to a complete acquisition.
Fnatic’s valuation is way under the predicted $100 million
In December 2025, the British press reported that Fnatic was exploring a sale at a valuation of $100 million. However, while the potential deals are approaching finalization, that value could be significantly lower.
Most of Fnatic’s esport teams have failed to find success in recent years. In fact,
only their Valorant roster is currently performing well.
In Rocket League, Apex Legends, or Counter-Strike, Fnatic hasn’t made memorable strides in a long while.
As for League of Legends, the team has been in a consistent free fall ever since 2019. This year, the only thing separating Fnatic from the bottom of the barrel is a name that bears the glory that it earned a decade ago.
With their successful years drifting further away in all but one game, Fnatic’s popularity is dwindling. No longer the fan favorite, it gathers
fewer viewers
alongside what it means for sponsors, product sales, and ultimately valuation.

Fnatic has reportedly been in talks with football clubs regarding the sale, hinting at Spanish and German ones. At this stage, the talks among the parties are entering their final stages, and there’s little chance for another potential buyer to join the conversation.
A decision is expected in the coming weeks. With both minority investments and a full sale being discussed, a lot is still up in the air regarding the future of the organization.
Most notably, Fnatic may or may not retain its current name and logo after an acquisition. The buyer might replace them, add their name to Fnatic’s, or leave them as is. Considering that org’s popularity in several esports solely relies on its name and its past, the latter options could be more likely.
As of now, nothing is certain. More details will follow in the weeks to come.
