G2 Esports hasn’t yet been able to perform nearly as well as it did last year. The team is barely qualifying for the LEC Versus playoffs and is neck-and-neck with Fnatic, the team that didn’t win a single match last year at the 2025 League of Legends World Championship. These two rivals will now face off in the last match of the regular season, and while neither is at their best, fan interest is as high as ever.

Fnatic vs G2 Esports match preview

Betting tip: Despite Fnatic being the underdog, we think the team could dominate this match and finish it relatively quickly.

Our Fnatic vs G2 Esports pick: Total game time to be under 33.5 minutes @ 1.62.

Fnatic vs G2 Esports match analysis

Despite being one of the few teams that didn’t change its roster coming into the new year, G2 Esports has failed to perform as well as many expected. The team has lost some matches it almost certainly should have won, and most of the wins it did get were too close.

Caps and Skewmond have had to carry G2 in its wins, as the top and bottom lanes have constantly underperformed. Considering Hans Sama is touted as one of the best ADCs in the region, his failure to show up likely affects his mental state, and his poor form perpetuates itself. This was evident in the match against Los Ratones, where it appeared the team was not following a coherent strategy and Hans Sama in particular appeared lost on the map.

Fnatic may not be at the top of its game, but the team’s new players have settled into their roles. Vladi is reliable enough in the middle lane, and while Lospa’s presence sometimes isn’t felt in the late game, his synergy with his ADC Upset is good enough in the laning phase.

G2 and Fnatic both have players who should be prime targets to shut down. For G2 that player is BrokenBlade in the top lane, who has consistently proven himself to be vulnerable. Meanwhile, Fnatic crumbles if the enemy team effectively targets its jungler Razork. G2’s recent lack of strategy suggests the team will attempt to wing it, which could let Fnatic catch G2 by surprise, especially considering the bo1 nature of the match.

BrokenBlade, Hans Sama, and Labrov are all in bad form, letting Fnatic potentially take advantage of the opportunity to get an early first blood. In addition to siding with Fnatic for first blood, it wouldn’t be surprising if Fnatic’s more reliable top laner Empyros works with Upset and Razork to end the match quickly. Because of this, it may be a good idea to take the under on the match lasting 33.5 minutes.

Fnatic vs G2 Esports betting picks & predictions

G2 came into the 2026 LEC Versus split as the favorite to win, but that isn’t the case anymore. The team has seemingly been unable to adapt to the new season and its meta, causing it to fall into a relative slump. With Fnatic continuously improving after every match, there’s a strong chance that this match will push Fnatic back into the spotlight.
