FaZe Rug joins Kick

Brian “FaZe Rug” Rafat Awadis has joined Kick and fans are curious why and what comes next for the popular streamer.

FaZe Rug began streaming in 2008 when he created a YouTube channel with his brother. They didn’t upload many videos, and the channel eventually became inactive. The streamer then created his own channel in 2012 and started uploading Call of Duty gameplay. In 2013, he joined the popular content organization, FaZe Clan, and he’s been on an upward trajectory since.

FaZe Rug started expanding his content and, in 2014 uploaded his first prank video. The streamer’s content since has included songs, collaborations, challenges, and chatting streams. He has now joined Kick and fans are already questioning whether FaZe Rug will start using the platform more frequently or even shift there exclusively.

FaZe Rug to stream on Kick

Popular streamer FaZe Rug streams on both Twitch and YouTube independently, and he’ll now add to that routine his new channel on Kick, potentially setting him apart from many streamers who are multistreaming content across all channels simultaneously.

FaZe Rug boasts a massive 27.8 million subscribers on YouTube so it’s unlikely he’d leave the platform. The streamer consistently posts videos on YouTube and gets high views for them, which equals high revenue. He’s also active on Twitch, where he streams Fortnite and other content. The content creator’s Twitch channel is significantly less popular than his YouTube as it has fewer than 400,000 followers, but it’s still nothing to scoff at.

FaZe Rug joins Kick

FaZe Rug doesn’t multistream his content, and both of his platforms feature different types of content. The streamer ccould continue to follow the same pattern on Kick. His YouTube channel has mostly vlog content while he uses Twitch to livestream and play games. If he does choose to multistream, it would make sense for him to multistream between Kick and Twitch.

In June, FaZe Rug shared his YouTube earnings in a stream with popular Kick streamer Adin Ross and Rangesh “N3on” Mutama. The earnings weren’t shown to viewers, but both streamers were shocked by just how much FaZe Rug was earning. Adin Ross makes significant revenue on Kick, but it seemed that FaZe Rug’s YouTube revenue was even higher based on that conversation.

FaZe Rug isn’t only FaZe Clan streamer to join Kick

Multiple FaZe Clan members have now joined Kick, as Kaysan “FaZe Kaysan” Ghasseminejad has also created a channel on the streaming platform.

FaZe Kaysan announced on X that he has joined Kick. The streamer stated that he will multistream content on both Kick and Twitch. He went on to say nothing will change for his Twitch viewers. The content creator praised Kick’s Partner Program and it may be the reason he decided to join Kick to begin with.

Some fans believe multiple streamers from the organization joining Kick hints at a larger migration. The duo’s entry on Kick has FaZe fans excited and they’re already speculating about the possibility of the full FaZe Clan migration to the platform. The other members of FaZe Clan’s plans remain unconfirmed at the time of this writing, but FaZe Rug is a massively popular streamer and his joining Kick is a big deal for the livestreaming platform.
