level up genshin impact

Reaching AR60 in Genshin Impact is a long journey that can literally take years, leaving many players searching for ways to level up faster.

Beyond the clear importance of ascending characters and weapons, leveling up in Genshin Impact is one of the most crucial aspects of the game. This is especially true given that character ascensions, regions, quest and other features are typically gated behind specific account levels. The rewards players can get receive while on the leveling grind well are often well worth it.

Early on, adventurers might find their rank climbing up quickly with ease, but things take a slower turn as the levels get higher. Progress begins to drag, and the leveling up process can stretch out over many months. That said, there are ways to speed things up. Here’s a guide to earning more Adventure EXP and leveling up faster in Genshin Impact.

What are the best ways to level up in Genshin Impact?

In Genshin Impact, there are tons of activities that boost Adventure Rank and level up more quickly. Below is the list of the best and most effective ways to grind AR EXP and gain access to more rewards.

Completing dailies

The daily commissions are the most dependable source of Adventure EXP in Genshin Impact. Even when players hit the endgame and have completed all main quests and scoured the game’s regions, they can always count on dailies for the available AR EXP. Finishing dailies usually takes just a few minutes per task, or sometimes they even complete themselves while tackling other quests or exploring the game’s world. Tasks can range from taking down enemies and protecting balloons to lending a hand to various NPCs in need of assistance.

Upon finishing a daily, head to the Adventurers’ Guild and speak to Katheryne to receive 500 EXP.

Completing quests

Like in most games, the classic way to level up in Genshin Impact is through completing quests. While quests can be time-consuming, with some taking hours or even weeks of play to complete as is the case with the Aranara quest line, they do reward a lot of EXP. Plus, even though each quest can only be performed one time, there’s a seemingly never-ending list of quests to do. Genshin Impact quest options include Archon, world, and story quests.

Exploring the game’s world, unlocking waypoints and statues

Chests, waypoints, and statues don’t offer a lot of Adventure EXP when unlocked, but since there’s pretty much one in each area of the game, they’ll add up over time. Each waypoint gives 50 AR EXP, while chests reward varying amounts depending on their rarity. Here’s a list of what’s available from each type of chest in Genshin Impact:

Besides redeeming Genshin Impact codes, opening these chests is also one of the best ways to farm primogems. Just be sure to have some patience in your approach as some of them will demand brainpower and cracking their puzzles can be a real pain. Additionally, tracking these chests down can be tough without any guidance or help from interactive maps.

Spending resins

Resin is extremely valuable in Genshin Impact, not just for farming artifacts, upgrade materials, and special currencies, but also for earning Adventure EXP with every run. The more resin a challenge requires, the more EXP the challenge dishes out upon completion. Players can spend resin on artifact and talent domains, boss fights, leylines, and plenty of other activities.

Try to burn and use up all original resins each and every day before reaching the cap to avoid missing out on critical EXP that will help you level up your Genshin Impact account more quickly.

Adventurer Handbook

For a new player, getting through the Adventurer’s Handbook missions should be at the top of the list. It gives a nice head start to new players by providing free materials and EXP early on, just by completing missions. Each mission rewards 100 AR EXP, and that adds up quickly. With nine experience chapters available, there’s a variety of tasks including leveling up weapons, defeating bosses, clearing Spiral Abyss, hunting enemies, and opening chests. A few are so simple that players might tick them off the list without even noticing their completion.

Offering systems

In every nation and sub-region in Genshin Impact, there are collectibles floating around or hidden in hard-to-find spots. Oculi and sigils are scattered everywhere, from easy-to-spot places to tricky, hidden ones.

Players can gather these items and provide them to the game’s Offering Systems including the Sacred Sakura’s Favor, Statue of the Sevens, and Frostbearing Tree’s Gratitude, all of which help players level up in Genshin Impact once completed.

By following these methods, you’re sure to be able to level up your account more quickly in Genshin Impact, winning rewards for yourself along the way and opening up the opportunity for even more rewards later.
