Emily “ExtraEmily” Zhang has come under fire for apparently leaking that she is viewbotting, and Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo has also weighed in on the situation, claiming he has proof.

Viewbotting has become a huge issue in the streaming industry, with creators inflating their views to gain more notoriety and views, potentially leading to higher payouts. The bots aren’t always used by streamers, and bad actors can also abuse them to harm creators. This distinction is why platforms such as Kick and Twitch are facing a hard time in combating viewbots. Popular streamer ExtraEmily is the latest to be accused of viewbotting, and content creator Mizkif claims she wasn’t acting alone.

Why was ExtraEmily accused of viewbotting?

In a recent JustChatting stream, ExtraEmily was navigating her Discord when she accidentally gave viewers a glimpse of her web browser. There was a suspicious tab labeled “Viewbot.ai” open, which led to viewers alleging that the streamer was using a viewbotting service to inflate her views.  The clip went viral quickly after the fact, but viewers remain divided on the situation.

Many are claiming it’s obvious ExtraEmily is using a viewbotting service, and even alleged that her high views don’t align with her JustChatting content. Others are more critical of the accusations and have speculated that the tab may have been an ad that popped up because of the 67 challenge. Some viewers tried to debunk this speculation, claiming the website creator had denied that his viewbot service appears as a pop-up ad on the site.

ExtraEmily hasn’t responded to the allegations at the time of this writing, and the claims remain unverified. But fellow streamer Mizkif has discussed the accusation, even sharing alleged proof that ExtraEmily was in fact viewbotting.

Mizkif claims both ExtraEmily and Mythic Talent are complicit in viewbotting

Mizkif initially defended ExtraEmily, claiming it’s easier for female streamers to get views and followers compared to male creators. He then shared messages that he alleged were with the viewbot service’s owner. Mizkif first asked whether the ExtraEmily viewbotting allegations are true, and the other person allegedly confirmed they are. He alleged that the streamer leaked it, so he won’t lie about it. The alleged owner also claimed that they “worked with her management teams” as well, which viewers are speculating means Mythic Talent is involved.

The validity of these messages remains unconfirmed, and many viewers are speculating they may be fake and that Mizkif may have shared them to stir drama. Some are basing these claims on the fact that it’s likely a breach of contract for the service to out the names of their clients like this, even if the client leaked it first.
