League of Legends 2025 Season 1 introduced the new Feet of First Blood mechanic to LoL players, and now it’s already getting changed again to the even newer Feat of Warfare.

League of Legends saw many changes with the introduction of 2025 Season 1. From changes to how players earned free skins to introducing the new monster Atakhan, even veteran players have had to adjust to the new mechanics. Arguably, the most impactful mechanic is the Feats of Strength.

The competition within the broader game determines which team gets access to the third-tier boots, a powerful potential upgrade that leads to hotly contested in-game objectives. Unfortunately, one of the three available objectives relied too much on the extreme early game, and now League of Legends patch 25.S1.2 aims to change that.

How do you get the Feats of Strength in League of Legends?

While two of the three objectives remain the same, League of Legends players must now get three champion kills across their team instead of only one for the Feats of Strength.

The team that completes two of three objectives can upgrade their boots to the third tier. The early added competition aims to ensure that the early game is more impactful in LoL this new season. Two of the objectives are destroying the first turret and slaying three epic monster camps. The third objective previously used to be merely getting first blood, but that isn’t the case anymore with LoL patch 25.S1.2.

League of Legends Feats of Strength details

Instead of first blood, the first team in a League of Legends match to get three kills gets the Feat of Strength objective point. But why has Riot decided to make such a quick change to this new mechanic?

Instead of pushing for more aggressive early games, the new first blood mechanic motivated teams to invade enemy jungles early in hopes of getting the one kill they needed. This was an unintended direction for the extreme early game, and one that Riot wanted to nip in the bud after seeing it play out with the launch of Season 1.

By bumping up the required kills number to three, both teams must play more tactically to ensure that they can get a set of early kills without putting themselves in jeopardy. Since the other objectives are unchanged, players will now think twice before diving into the tower or invading the enemy jungle immediately.

In addition to changing the first blood objective, League of Legends patch 25.S1.2 also made other minor tweaks. Cassiopeia’s passive, Serpentine Grace, has its Triumphant move speed per level reduced from six to five. Additionally, the Yun Tal Wildarrows item is now more viable. Its attack damage increased from 50 to 55 and its attack speed increase is now set to 35% instead of 25%. To compensate for the buffs, the item costs 3,000 gold rather than the 2,900 that it used to.
