Explaining drama between Jack Doherty and FaZe Banks
Jack Doherty is no stranger to drama or beefs with fellow streamers and this time, he’s getting into it with Richard “FaZe Banks” Bengtson.
Compared to Twitch, getting banned on Kick takes serious effort, but Jack Doherty still managed to pull it off. After earning himself a permanent ban from the green platform in October, he finds himself scrambling to stay in fans’ memories. Whether it’s getting roughed up by Yousef “Fousey” Erakat or crashing his car during a livestream, Jack Doherty always seems to land in the middle of streaming’s messiest drama. Despite his reputation as a controversial content creator, he’s managed to maintain a solid following on YouTube and Twitch.
But Jack Doherty has found himself in a very public, and fairly ugly feud with FaZe Clan co-owner Banks. Here’s why.
What’s the drama between Jack Doherty and FaZe Banks?
Jack Doherty and FaZe Banks are locked in a feud on X after FaZe Banks labeled Jack Doherty as “the worst streamer of all time” in an interview.
During a segment on Complex, FaZe Banks and Plaqueboymax revealed their picks for the best and worst streamers of all time. FaZe Banks singled out Jack Doherty as the worst, and Plaqueboymax backed him up, naming Jack as well.
“it’s easily Jack Doherty. It’s got to be Jack Doherty. Jack’s a piece of s—. Everybody knows it, obviously,” FaZe Banks said.
His comment didn’t go unnoticed as Doherty quickly fired back at FaZe Banks. Taking to X, the streamer tagged Banks, saying he hasn’t been
making any money at FaZe.
While fans didn’t think Banks would respond, the co-owner was quick to clap back. He accused Jack Doherty of view-botting his streams and “rug-pulling” his fans, referring to an alleged pump-and-dump cryptocurrency scam he perpetrated on his viewers.
FaZe Banks also took the opportunity to flaunt his earnings and assets, but Jack fired back by showcasing his own real estate holdings. It appears that was the final straw for FaZe Banks, who made quite a chilling remark in response.
In a now-deleted post, FaZe Banks told Jack that he should have “kidnapped or murdered” him during his visit to FaZe House in 2016. Keep in mind Jack was just 12 years old at the time.

Since then, FaZe Banks has been quiet, even as Jack Doherty looks to make the most of the drama. Banks, for his part, has a history of taking social media beefs too far. He famously undermined
FaZe Clan‘s chances in a legal battle with
at-the-time FaZe streamer Turner “Tfue” Tenney
over Tfue’s attempts to leave FaZe. Tfue was ultimately able to leave the network.
There’s likely a pin in the battle between Banks and Doherty for now. However, fans are calling out Banks for discussing his desire to harm a child. The co-owner hasn’t addressed the deleted post, and he is unlikely to.
