World of Warcraft Classic hardcore has been heavily featured with the OnlyFangs streamer guild finally holding its first raid day of 2025, and quite a few characters died during the guild’s big debut run.
With over a decade of history, World of Warcraft has seen its ups and downs in relevancy. While the game has always had a dedicated fanbase, it fell off the mainstream pedestal until the OnlyFangs guild brought it back. Consisting entirely of established streamers, the WoW Classic hardcore guild entertains fans with its constant drama and controversy.
After multiple streamer deaths and a surprise leadership change, the guild finally had its first raid day. The goal was to clear Molten Core without a single death, but that unfortunately didn’t happen. Fans who couldn’t tune into the streams may want to learn which of their favorite streamers fell.
After over six hours and six deaths, the OnlyFangs guild cleared Onyxia’s Lair and Molten Core, but six characters died along the way. Below is a list of every streamer who died during the raid day:
Pokelawls was the first streamer to fall in the OnlyFangs raid, dying during the fight against the dragon Onyxia. This set the pace for the rest of the raid as the other five streamers followed suit. From Fandy dying to a Molten Core trash mob to AnnieFuchsia and Gunnar dying while fighting final boss Ragnaros the Firelord, most deaths were avoidable, with Fandy’s perhaps being the most glaring exception. The streamer was knocked out by a vicious one-two combination that barely left her and her fellows with any time to react.
Regardless, most streamers in the raid roster were newcomers to the game to ensure things were entertaining for fans. This single raid was led up to for over a month, showcasing how prepared the guild wanted to be before getting underway. While casualties could have easily reached double digits, especially during a tumultuous fight with Onyxia, most fans think the relatively low death count is impressive for OnlyFangs.
The next OnlyFangs raid is planned for just one week after the first, on the weekend of February 8, and this time with Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp leading the raid.
The guild has yet to commit to raiding the Blackwing Lair dungeon when it opens, but that may be because some streamers are likely to leave OnlyFangs after the initial raid runs are completed. Many streamers had vocally claimed they were planning to stop playing the game after the raid’s completion because of the raw amount of time it demands.
The first OnlyFangs raid of 2025 single-handedly brought World of Warcraft’s category on Twitch into second place among combined viewers. With over 430,000 live concurrent viewers during the raid, some guild members may have second thoughts about leaving the game given OnlyFangs’ obvious streaming success.
