Dota 2 at the Esports World Cup 2026 predictions
EWC is set to be the last major test for teams ahead of TI15. While some orgs are just finally reaching the heights and level of expectations most observers had for them, other top teams are falling from grace.
Team Falcons have had a miserable season for defending TI Champions, winning nothing, and looking bad doing it. Here in an event traditionally favored towards Team Falcons squads (albeit not Dota 2 teams), the Falcons have another chance to soar.
But realistically, it’s the strong teams of recent tournaments who are the hot favorites. PARIVISION, 1WIN, and BetBoom are our picks to win it all. They’re on form, and finally hitting their stride and consistency. 1WIN are especially interesting, because this is their first proper outing under a new banner. This is their chance to prove they were worth the investment that’s seen them receive a full makeover in image and tone.
As for underdogs, it’s hard to avoid the likes of OG and PSG.LGD. Teams with massive orgs backing relatively small regional powers. WIth that backing, though, both teams have punched above their weight. Could this be the perfect tournament for a big upset? We hope so. The warm Parisian summers, the live crowd, the strange environment from a last-minute move of venue. The chaos favors underdogs, and we hope we’ll see one of them lift the trophy at EWC 2026.
