Eddie Craven Reveals the Stunning Statistics Behind Stake's Dice Game

Dice has established itself as one of the most popular casino games online in recent years, and Stake co-founder Eddie Craven recently revealed the eye-watering numbers behind the simple title — it has generated over $75 billion in wagers across 200 billion bets.
Dice is a Stake Original game that has been available on the platform since its initial 2017 launch. The title has been around since before Stake and was available on the casino’s predecessor, PrimeDice. Stake Dice uses a 100-sided virtual die and is considered one of the casino’s flagships games. Craven recently revealed how many wagers have been placed in the last nine years, showing that the game remains incredibly popular.

Stake Dice stats show the game has crossed $75 billion in wagers in less than a decade
Eddie Craven’s X post mentioned Dice’s RTP, total money wagered, and total bets for all time, the last 28 days, the last week, and the last 24 hours. The game had an RTP running from 98.94% to 99.54%. The all-time wagers were just a little shy of $79 billion with more than 200 billion bets. Indeed, Stake Dice had seen over $56 million wagered with close to 93 million bets during just the 24 hours when the screenshot was taken showing no signs of slowing down.

This isn’t the first time Craven has highlighted a Stake Original game, as he had previously revealed impressive Stake Plinko stats. Stake Dice is interesting because the game may be a Stake Original, but it was, in a sense, carried over from PrimeDice. The gameplay and other elements largely stayed the same, and it was one of the first games to be launched on Stake. Despite staying relatively unmodified, the game recorded a massive amount of wagers and is still going strong with players seemingly appreciating the ability to place wagers on simple outcomes.
Most crypto casino games rely on being unique or having special modes to attract players, but Stake Dice’s core gameplay has stayed unchanged since its inception. The game is also older than other Stake Originals such as Plinko or Mines. Its popularity for almost a decade and being one of the casino’s most recognizable games showcases how much it resonates with players, while streamers have been known to include it as part of their Kick broadcasts.

Stake Dice is so popular because of its simple gameplay
The biggest benefit of Stake Dice is that even a new gambler can start the game and easily understand how to play. The rules aren’t hard, and the gameplay doesn’t need knowledge of poker, blackjack, or slots. Players simply choose a bet amount, select Roll Over or Roll Under, choose a target number, and place the bet; Stake Dice’s 100-sided virtual die shows the outcome instantly. These gameplay mechanics give new casino players accessibility, while also providing experienced players enough customization.
The biggest advantage of Dice’s gameplay is that players can fully customize their betting strategy by choosing their desired risk level, multiplier and win probability. A higher win probability results in smaller but more consistent payouts, making it ideal for players who prefer a steadier approach. Meanwhile, lowering the win probability increases the multiplier, offering the chance for significantly larger rewards at greater risk.
Stake Dice is a provably fair game, and players can verify the every individual result. Taken together with the other elements we mentioned, it is likely that the minimalist Stake game will remain a fan favorite for years to come.
