With GTA 6 launching in just a matter of weeks, streamers are gearing up for the latest instalment in the iconic series. Kick co-founder Eddie Craven has revealed plans to give the platform’s GTA community new opportunities and events around the highly anticipated release.

Kick has started to deviate from its initial casino focus and is shifting toward a more diversified model. This is visible in the platform’s deal with Riot Games, which allows Kick to distribute official tournaments and matches.

It also extends to video games, with Eddie Craven recently revealing, “PlayStation has been unwilling to work with Kick”, but also talked about what the platform has planned for the upcoming GTA 6. Kick has overtaken Twitch in GTA viewership, and Eddie Craven is confident that the new game will be a major hit on his platform.

Eddie Craven claims Kick is the number one streaming platform for GTA content

In a recent Kick Talk episode, Eddie was asked whether Kick would hold special events for GTA 6. Craven replied that GTA 6 is going to be a major talking point for the entire world, but will also be “massive for streaming”. He elaborated that Kick is the “number one GTA platform”, as more viewers are watching on the Stake-backed platform compared to rivals.

The Kick co-founder stated that this is why it’s natural that they’ll focus around GTA 6, as they also have some of the best GTA streamers broadcasting on the platform. Craven shared that there will be several events and activations around GTA 6, as he and Kick are eagerly waiting for the game to release.

The Kick co-founder then went on to claim that Kick has become the home for GTA, and he expected this to continue increasing. The Australian entrepreneur credited the massive growth in the GTA category to Kick’s partner streamers, and predicted that the trend will continue.

He also explained why he thinks GTA is different from other games, as roleplaying ensures that varying content can be made. Eddie said that some viewers can watch their favorite games forever, but GTA roleplaying combines well with streaming. He elaborated that GTA 6 will have the same roleplaying community, which will be supported by Kick and could lead to other opportunities.

GTA 6 as an opportunity for Kick

There is no argument about Kick having overtaken other livestreaming platforms and having nurtured a substantial GTA audience. GTA RP is a major reason for this, which Eddie Craven has appropriately credited, and GTA 6 could help Kick gain more users. Several top streamers, such as Adin Ross, Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr., and Kai Cenat, have already stated that they will be livestreaming GTA 6. While some may finish the game fast, there will still be quite a bit of content that will be streamed for months, with the online element also yet to have a confirmed release date.
