Ed Craven responds to TheDoctor's Kick deal demand

Popular Kick streamer TheDoctor has demanded a Kick deal from CEO Ed Craven, and while he didn’t get a contract, he did get some decent advice on how to make money on the streaming site.
TheDoctor has been streaming in Kick’s slots and casino category since March 2023, and has now become one of the top casino streamers with 92,000 followers. About 90% of all his streams are centered around trying out new slots and casino games, but his IRL streams are just as popular among fans. As one of the oldest gambling streamers on Kick, TheDoctor has accumulated a large fan base that regularly tunes in to watch his content.
Now, the streamer has demanded more from the streamer site for being a loyal streamer for over three years, and Ed Craven has responded to his demands.
Ed Craven on why some gambling streamers make less
On June 2, 2026, TheDoctor called out Ed Craven, also known as Eddie among the streamers, for not yet offering him a Kick deal despite his viewership numbers. TheDoctor flexed his 800,000 followers on all platforms, citing it as a reason to deserve a deal like other streamers.
“Averaging 4k views on all platforms when live. And still not once been offered anything compared to some of these other streamers. Just take some time to consider looking into my brand on Instagram or Facebook,” TheDoctor said.
However, this wasn’t enough to convince Ed, who explained why some gambling streamers make less despite high viewerships. According to Ed, KPP, which is Kick’s Partner Program, doesn’t currently reward viewership from Slots or Casino streams. This is likely tied to his previous remarks, where he explained that gambling content was beneficial for Stake, but was hurting Kick’s overall watch hours, ultimately leading the platform to set the KPP payout for gambling content to zero.
“You should try streaming outside of the gambling category a bit more. I think you’d do really well with KPP. I really appreciate you choosing Kick nonetheless and we’re here to support you,” Ed Craven said.
TheDoctor’s complaint initially came in response to Kick’s new “hide your view count” feature that’s aimed at combatting viewbotters. The feature rewards quality content over inflated count. Quoting the new feature, TheDoctor complained that he streams 10 hours a day with an average of two thousand viewers, and is still without a deal with Kick.

Other gambling streamers like Trainwreckstv, Roshtein, and more, have different streams of income, and deal with slot providers that make their gambling journey profitable. Even smaller streamers thrive off their custom codes to promote indie slot providers, with KPP contributing very little to their overall income.
While TheDoctor does have impressive numbers, he must stream outside of gambling category to really benefit from viewership numbers, as explained by Craven. Still, TheDoctor has still managed to record some huge wins this year, most notably walking away with $100k on the Hot Fiesta slot in May.
