Popular Canadian rapper Drake was once seemingly at odds with Kick CEO Eddie Craven to the extent that he had deleted his channel, but he’s now on a surprise comeback on the platform just in time for some holiday giveaways.

Drake may be a rapper, but he has also joined the streaming industry and where occasionally streams live to fans. He does everything from supporting fellow his streamers in their chats to collaborating with other content creators like Adin Ross. Drake and Adin’s collaborations are especially well-liked because the duo run gambling and giveaway streams, where viewers have the opportunity to win gifts and prizes.

It was unclear for some time whether Drake would continue streaming on Kick after a seeming public falling out with Craven, but the rapper is now back on his Kick channel.

Drake partners with Stake, will share earnings with viewers

Stake revealed that Drake will be doing three consecutive livestreams between December 21 and December 23, and that he will give away prizes to five individual viewers each day.

Drake’s giveaway streams will see a total of 15 winners chosen, who will be selected during the live broadcast to win prizes. Betting platform Stake has said that the prizes will be monetary in nature, and that amounts will be decided based on Drake’s betting wallet balance, with amounts being credited to eligible viewers’ Stake balances.

This differs from Drake’s previous giveaway streams in partnership with Adin Ross, where he gave cash and other prize items to winners. This Stake partnership may also be a reason why Drake didn’t collaborate with Ross, who recently signed with another betting platform in a move that may have resulted in a Kick ban for Adin Ross.

Drake’s Kick return and comeback stream was especially surprising for fans because the rapper had severely criticized CEO Eddie Craven publicly. The musician had revealed that his beef with Kick came through a disagreement over how revenues should be shared. Fans then saw Drake seemingly delete his Kick channel, but it later returned even as it was reported that Drake would no longer be streaming on Kick.

This was a significant turn of events given how closely Drake had aligned himself with both Kick and Stake. But any bad blood between them now seems to be firmly in the past.

Drake’s unexpected comeback with his signature Kick giveaway streams has viewers feeling both excited and ready to win. Drake’s previous giveaway streams have been some of the biggest broadcasts on Kick, with huge numbers of viewers tuning in and many winning gifts that included cars, cash, and other prizes. This time around, it seems that the winnings will be paid in straight cash, provided the winners are able to receive that cash in their Stake wallet balance.
