Dplus didn’t start the year with much hope. The team showcased decent performance in the LCK Cup and Road to MSI and managed to qualify for the Esports World Cup through the Korea Qualifier. But the team’s showing of skill and strategy at this ongoing tournament has been nothing short of excellent.

In particular, Smash is an awesome ADC who plays very well off of Career’s support. ShowMaker is one of the more consistent mid lakers, and Lucid is a good jungler who usually prioritizes objectives more than ganks. The team’s weak link is definitely Siwoo in the top lane, which could be exactly what Karmine Corp needs to win.

KC’s Canna is an absolute menace in the top lane, frequently taking down his opponents in the laning phase. Pair this with Caliste’s high carry potential and Busio’s support, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Karmine Corp came out of this match as the victor. This isn’t to say that things will be easy for either team.

Dplus took down a powerhouse team such as Gen.G. However, Gen.G isn’t exactly in the same zone that it was in last year. Karmine Corp’s improvement is clear as day, both mechanically and strategically. While Dplus will likely push the match to the distance, KC has a good shot at winning this entire thing.
