Cuffem banned on Kick, leaving fans to defend embattled streamer
Controversial streamer Cameron “Cuffem” Amos has been banned on Kick, and his rabid fans are already requesting that the platform reinstate his channel.
Cuffem is infamous for his over-the-top reactions and extreme takes, sometimes on sensitive topics. This has led to him being entangled in drama with other streamers and also caused other content creators to get involved in beefs on his behalf. The streamer’s risky behavior has also caused him to get into trouble with Kick in the past, leading to his channel being suspended in July. Cuffem is now in hot water again, as Kick has banned his channel.
Fans speculate on Kick Cuffem ban
The offical reason for the ban by Kick against Cuffem remains unknown, but many of the streamer’s fans and viewers believe the streamer threatening someone on stream may be the cause for his channel’s suspension.
Fans noticed on October 15 that Cuffem’s Kick channel was
taken down, and attempting to open it would result in the “channel not found” error being displayed. This led to speculation among those fans about why Kick would take action against the streamer and whether the suspension might be permanent. Some viewers alleged that Cuffem’s recent interaction on stream with Paul “GypsyCrusader” Nicholas Miller may have been the reason.
Cuffem on Kick
The conversation between the two was intense, with emotions running high and harsh words being exchanged. Cuffem apparently pulled a weapon out and threatened GypsyCrusader, which some think is the reason Kick deactivated his channel. This reasoning is unconfirmed, but streaming platforms like
Kick
to tend to take threats of violence quite seriously.
Brandishing a weapon and threatening someone on stream is explicitly against Kick’s community guidelines, and Kick has seemed more eager to enforce its rules as it has
experienced rapid growth. Cuffem violently displayed the weapon and was seemingly talking about hurting someone while doing so, so Kick taking action against him for this reason would make sense. Some viewers have stated that the weapon was merely a toy, and thus Kick shouldn’t have banned Cuffem. Others claim that inciting violence is wrong regardless of whether the weapon was real or not, and that the platform was right in banning the streamer.
This isn’t the first time Cuffem has been banned from Kick, nor is it the first time he’s found himself in
drama involving other streamers. The streamer’s channel was taken down previously because of his lean mukbang livestream. While his channel was later reinstated, he was reportedly told that his next offense would lead to a 30-day suspension. It’s unclear whether that’s exactly how long he’ll be gone for, but viewers will soon find out as his suspension stretches on.
UPDATE:
After threatening to take his stream to Twitch, Cuffem has said that he was informed by Kick that his suspension would last for three days.
