CS2 pro karrigan reportedly set to leave FaZe for Falcons
Finn “karrigan” Andersen has been a cornerstone of FaZe’s CS2 team since 2021, but that may be set to change with his reported departure for Falcons.
The competitive CS2 scene has a handful of reliable teams that consist of strong players. FaZe used to be part of that list, but the team’s futile attempt to qualify for the IEM Cologne Major left much to be desired. It seems that the team’s higher-ups think the same, because the roster may be seeing some significant changes.
Being the team’s captain, karrigan understandably took the brunt of the backlash after FaZe’s recent performance.
According to reports, this will result in karrigan stepping down as FaZe’s captain to instead join Team Falcons, another team that has been struggling recently.
Is karrigan joining Falcon’s CS2 team?
According to reports, karrigan will depart from FaZe Clan after more than a year of underwhelming performances.
FaZe Clan is a prominent name in the CS2 esports scene, but that doesn’t mean it’s the strongest. The team hasn’t secured a single victory since early 2024, indicating that something must change. The final nail in the coffin was
FaZe’s recent disappointing performance
at the DraculaN Season 6 and HLC Belgrade PRO tournaments.

Failing to qualify for the
IEM Cologne Major
stung for the entire team, including karrigan. The FaZe captain stated that he’s at the lowest point in his career, and even
said that he would step down if that would help FaZe bounce back to the top.
That seems to be the decision FaZe’s management is taking.
The CS2 veteran will reportedly replace Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski, who is Falcon’s current captain. Falcons may not be in as much of a bind as FaZe, but the team’s performance hasn’t been optimal, though the
disappointing showing at IEM Kraków 2026 in February of this year
was likely what broke the camel’s back.
This roster change will reportedly take effect after Team Falcons completes its
IEM Rio 2026
run, regardless of the results. This means that
FaZe doesn’t have long to figure out its starting roster for BLAST Rivals 2026 Season 1, which starts on April 29.
Falcons has a good chance of benefiting from adding karrigan to its team. This is primarily because the potentially former FaZe captain will reunite with his former FaZe teammate Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and the ex-Astralis coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen.
As for FaZe, this may not be the only roster change the team makes. Both teams clearly need to change things if they want to start winning trophies, and this is arguably the best starting point. Their future fortunes will certainly be intriguing, with their upcoming matches available at multiple
CS2 betting sites.
