CrownCoins Tests Crown Rips Feature Ahead of General Release

Crown Rips

Collecting cards may never be the same again as CrownCoins is testing a brand new feature for customers to use called Crown Rips. Selected customers have been given beta access to try out this new feature ahead of a planned sitewide release later this year. But what is Crown Rips and how will it enhance what CrownCoins already has to offer as a promotional sweepstakes site?

Beta Test Info Provides Some Answers and Some Questions

An email sent to selected customers who will beta test the new Crown Rips feature explains how it works. Essentially each customer will receive 5 SC from the site to test the new feature, and to do that they will be able to purchase virtual packs of real, collectible trading cards.

Every card a customer pulls through the promotion is theirs to do with what they like after the reveal.

The process works in two stages:-

What is not clear as yet, is what kind of cards Crown Rips will offer to customers as part of this promotion.  The company has stated that the offer will feature “real collectible trading cards” but it is not yet fully understood what these cards will be.

Perhaps most excitingly, they could be packs of cards from pre-established card collections, such as Pokemon, or the wide range of NFL, baseball, soccer, basketball and other sports card collections that are available today.

However, they could also be their own Crown Coins cards, which would perhaps be less appealing to collectors as they would lack the immediate intrinsic appeal of pre-established collections and, initially at least, not be as valuable.

Will Crown Rips Appeal To US Sweepstakes Customers?

On the face of it, it may seem a strange choice from Crown Coins to offer Crown Rips alongside its popular Free Play Sweepstakes Gaming, but a closer look reveals just how smart a play this is.

Rips and Ships” accounts on X and other video services have proven to be hugely popular, where customers will buy packs of cards and then watch a streamer open them, before shipping the cards off to them.

Crown Rips simply takes this baton and runs with it, although it looks likely to live or die by the appeal of the packs of cards that they will offer to customers.

For the user, the excitement comes from opting to buy a pack of cards and then seeing the cards opened on a live stream, in the hope that you may land a rare or extremely rare card, which can be incredibly valuable.

It is going to be interesting to see if Crown Coins offers an option to play free or claim coins to play with this option (as they do via their popular Sweepstakes site) and how that will be different to users who opt to purchase a pack using cash.

Collecting Cards and Customers?

With collecting cards hugely popular, this looks to be a very smart move from Crown Coins, tapping into a market that other companies have not yet fully embraced, with a ready-made market of potential customers ready to get involved.

We’ll find out the answers to some of the key questions after the beta test has been completed, but offering a way to collect cards via Crown Rips could be a smart way for the site to collect customers.
