With Crown Coins behind him, what's next for boxing star Terence Crawford?
The world finally knows that Terence Crawford is an all-time great boxer, but with massive fan following watching his every move and partners like Crown Coins Casino behind him, questions are already being asked as to what’s next.
It’s no secret that success in the ring doesn’t necessarily translate to stardom in boxing. Crawford might be the biggest victim of that in recent history, though. “Bud” has been good enough on big enough stages that he hasn’t flown entirely under the proverbial radar. It’s just that stoppage wins over Thomas Dulorme, Amir Khan, Errol Spence, and many others didn’t quite translate into superstardom.
While there was a bright spotlight over the fighter’s dominant win over Canelo Alvarez, a boxer is very much a global star. That alone isn’t going to translate to superstardom. It does, however, position him to finally give Terence Crawford the recognition he deserves, an effect that’s already being seen with the support of sponsoring partners the likes of Everlast, Experience, and Crown Coins Casino.

How good is Terence Crawford?
Terence Crawford cemented himself as an all-time great boxer and arguably the best of this generation with his win over Canelo Alvarez.
A strong case can be made that Crawford already had a strong claim to that, given that he’s a champion across five divisions and his status as the first male boxer to become the undisputed champion across two separate divisions.
He’s offered very little wiggle room to question his abilities, and his 17-year winning streak speaks for itself. His willingness to push for stoppage victories against threatening opponents also preempts any claims that he’s too “boring” to resonate with fans.
The only real issues for Crawford are his relatively bland personality and working in what has proven to be awkward era for boxing. The final years of Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather’s in-ring careers dominated boxing discourse when Crawford really began to break out, and that was followed by the swell of celebrity boxing matches led by brothers Jake and Logan Paul.

Terence Crawford wasn’t hurting for money even before fighting Canelo, with an estimated $40 million in purse money before factoring in sponsorships from companies like Crown Coins. And he’s definitely not hurting for it after, reportedly taking home a nine-figure paycheck for the match.
That sponsorship from Crown Coins Casino is particularly worthy of attention. Crown Coins is a big name in gaming and particularly in the slots industry, hosting slot games from the biggest publishers in the marketplace and drawing legions of players to their offerings. For Crown Coins to get involved with a name like Terence Crawford at the very apex of his career is demonstrative both of the marketing power of Crown Coins, and of the reputation Crawford has built for himself.
The partnership has proven to have pull for both parties, as the reaction across the web and on social media makes clear.
Still, Crawford’s talents haven’t been appreciated nearly as much as they should be. The question after his fight with Canelo is whether he has the chance to convert this victory into long-overdue superstardom.
Who should Terence Crawford fight next?
Carlos Adames, Janibek Alimkhanuly, and Erislandy Lara Santoya are all active boxers who make sense as the next opponent for Terence Crawford.
With Canelo now in Crawford’s rearview mirror, there are few other big-name fights available to him. The relative dearth of stadium-filling names in boxing right now means there aren’t any seriously eye-catching names out there for Crawford. There also aren’t many particularly strong names that could challenge his undisputed champion status.
As such, the best option for Crawford is likely to add further to his “undisputed” legacy. With undisputed championships to his name at light welterweight, welterweight, and super middleweight, he could potentially look to thread the needle by becoming the undisputed middleweight champion. To do this, he’d need to take down Janibek Alimkhanuly, Erislandy Lara Santoya, and Carlos Adames.
Any of those three names would be a compelling opponent for Terence Crawford’s next fight. But while those are all intriguing contests, there’s always the possibility of a special attraction match against a returning big name. Gennady Golovkin insists he’s not retired and if there’s any superstar that would take on a monstrous challenge like fighting Crawford, it’s him.
As for Crown Coins Casino, it’s unlikely that the operator is planning on stopping here. Given the recent success of a partnership with GT World Challenge America and the attention generated by this latest public play with Terence Crawford, expect Crown Coins to continue to push for new ways to expose and grow its brand worldwide.
